  • this one for me is something I have been getting really bad about. starting tomorrow 2/27 no eating after 7:30 pm for 21 days unless of course I mess up and have to start over at day one. Any one care to join me with their own personal challenge please join in. all are welcome.
  • Okay day 1 7:45pm was my last food intake. will try again tomorrow
  • Okay I blew it again. I started this challenge when I was getting home early an dnow I'm woring til 6:15 an getting home about 6:30 - 6:45. I am determined to get this down tho. Planning I'm sure is key. I will succeed.
  • My challenge is water. I think I have the exercise thing under control, been a monthe or more now, and I'm kinda addicted to it. But my first instinct is to reach for that damn diet coke. So switching to water, getting at LEAST 8 glasses, is my 21 day challenge. So far, I've met it for 2 days.
  • Awesome job marcie!keep up the good work
  • Okay, I'm changing my challenge, or adding to it, or whatever. The water is coming along nicely, I'm back to being thirsty for it. But I seriously need to lay off the wine. Right now that's my focus. So, starting today, no alcohol of any kind for 21 days.
  • All right here we go. We can do it!!!!
  • Still on day one but also still determined to get this goal as a habit.
  • I had to start over a few days ago, I had some wine. So tonight is my 3rd night back on the personal challenge.
  • I'll jump on the no eating after dinner wagon.

Beginning today, July 7, I will eat my final morsel of food at dinner.

    Lynn
  • Okay, I need some help. I have been getting home around 7 :00 7:15 so I am thinking that I should change my cut off time to 8pm but only til I get things back on track here. My real goal is 7:30. My other choice is to eat dinner at 4 pm and have snack at 7pm, Iv'e done this before and it works okay as long as I can find the time to sit and eat since I'm still at work. Any one else with some ideas on how I can accomplish this goal please feel free to let me know. Thank in advance.Marcie you can do this. Lynn welcome aboard. I am so glad to see you back with us. My thoughts are with you often through out the day.
  • I would try to make your last meal or snack closer to your cutoff time. Then you won't be so hungry!!
  • Ok, I'm joining here also. I am going for no wine (even at all our dinners out) for 21 days. I have 3 days so far. 7/8/06

Marcie, I hope you had a glass to celebrate your new job........or maybe a treat from Starbucks instead.

    Phyllis
  • Phyllis, actually I had a bit more than a glass. Ed brought home the divorce papers last night, which was hard to deal with. He also got pretty pissy with me about child support and such. Saying how he is going to be broke for the next several years. What the **** does he think I'm going to be??? I'm going to be looking for some housecleaning jobs to supplement my income.

Anyway, so that means I have to start over. Today is day one. Glad you're doing the wine thing with me. Hard to give up, isn't it? It's a self medicating thing for me. Evenings, it helps to relax, settle down. But I can do it. Esp. since I won't be around Ed any more.
  • Wine does help you calm down but it is expensive and addicting. I love the taste of wine, our best friend is a retired wine salesman and we always have such lovely wine at their house. See I can blame him for my acquired love of good wine!!!! lol

Getting the divorce papers, from what I hear, is always a difficult time and I am glad all that is over for you now. If he is being a jerk about money, most men are, at least he will pay child support and hopefully you won't have to go to court over it.

It's good you have your parents nearby to help you while you get started with you new life. Your going to do so great and make new friends. Money may be tight for you but mentally you will be so much more healthy and so will your children.

    We'll make the 21 days.....Phyllis
