"The caffeine can give you a mild boost in metabolism and help you work out for a longer period of time before fatigue sets in," says Leslie Bonci, MPH, RD, director of sports nutrition at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Those two factors can lead to better weight loss, she says.
I say not -- I drink a diet Coke every morning on my way to the gym and my metabolism isn't running any faster, that's for sure!
