Default QOTD for 5-24

What other diets/way of eating have you tried to lose weight? What did you like and dislike about them and why?? How long did you stick to them??? What kind of motivation and/or support system did you have???

What made you choose the JC plan??? What do you like about it and why? What dont you like about it???

What do you think is your hardest obstacle to over come while trying a new plan and sticking to it?

I seem to always go back to Radiant Recovery. It's kind of like Sugar Busters with more support. I just think that carbs - especially simple carbs - are my downfall. Once I get them out of my system, I can stick to healthy eating. If I eat them, they trigger me to eat more.

I've tried WW and Atkins. WW long long time ago and stayed on it for less than a month. I was ALWAYS hungry.

Then there was Atkins, which was good b/c it made me realize what carbs were and the fact that I AM addicted to carbs. But I could not eat like that the rest of my life. I quickly got bored of steak and eggs, but did lose a little weight and was not hungry.

I chose JC because it's basically what ppl have been saying all along - eat wisely and smaller portions. Plus with the three hour thing, I know I can eat soon (I detest being hungry - I hate it and would rather be fat and happy than have that hungry/deprived feeling) With JC, I can handle being hungry for an hour. The best thing about JC is nothing is off limits. If I want something I can put it in my diet. I just stick to the JC visual plate and I know that I can splurge once in a while, it won't kill me or throw me off.

For example this past month (May) has been really really hard. I have been hitting here and there, but not the whole JC thing altogether. ... usually I would have gained - however, I have not gained, but maintained - so that inspires me even more to stay with this.

Honestly, I don't do the JC plan any more. I wasn't losing any weight with it. I still eat every 3 hours, but I follow more of a combination of the Paleo diet with Atkins -- I eat high protein/low carb. I eat meat, dairy, fruits and veggies. Once in a great while, I have sweet potatoes or corn. I rarely eat other carbs. And I do keep track of my calories.
