Default Tuesday 4/18

Good Morning everyone! It is another beautiful sunny day here in CT! My kids are on spring break this week and my mom is taking them to the zoo today.

Yesterday was a VERY good day for me. I stayed OP with my food, made good choices. I drank my water and went for a nice, long walk after work. I was very pleased with myself all and all. I am off to a good start today as well. Need to step up the water a little bit, but that shouldn't be a problem. I am trying very hard to focus and stay OP for the whole week since we will be going away this weekend. That will be a total bust as far as healthy food choices. I am thinking I will WI on Sat before we leave and count that as the weekly challenge WI. Will that be ok?

I am planning to get another long walk in today after work. Dinner will probably be a salad and chicken breast done on the George Forman grill. Not sure about lunch though, hmmmmm.... 6" Subway maybe?

Make evry bite count today ladies!!

TTFN- Sharon

Well, today is back to work. It was a nice long weekend. It's back OP now that Easter is over. I was a good girl and didn't go overboard on the easter chocolate. I still ate too much with the fondue but not that bad either. But 400 calories for dinner is not much when you have a fondue. But I'm still proud of myself. I know that in no time, my weight should be back where it is supposed to be.

It's a nice day here in Ottawa as well. All week is supposed to be nice. Perfect for walking at lunch time. This week will be a very busy week for me. I have an exam and interview to get ready for next Tuesday. I have a competition opportunity for a promotion at work, so I need time to get ready for it. I don't know how that will go, but whether I get it or not is fine with me. The experience will be still be good no matter what. Chances are I'll be competing against someone who's already doing the job and doing the exam/interview like me. That's life for you!

Have a nice week everyone!

Good afternoon everyone! It's been a crazy week for me. I have this unwanted house guest and unfortunately, I can't put peanut butter and M&Ms on a mouse trap and get rid of him!

My husband has this friend who if he had lived years ago back in the days of the horse and wagon would have been a snake oil salesman. He's selling security systems right now. Prior to that, it was garage doors. Prior to that, it was windows. Prior to that, it was self-help seminars. And every thing he starts he thinks is going to make him $10,000 a month -- but he never makes any money.

He and his girlfriend broke up and she kicked him out. His parents won't let him move back in, so we told him he could stay with us for a few days -- which has now turned into a few weeks.

He's hooked on on-line poker, so he's always on the computer -- he can be on it for 8-10 hours straight. He doesn't play for money, but he constantly plays. If he's not on the computer, he's on the sofa in front of the TV watching what he wants to watch. And he's always waiting for someone else to cook a meal.

I want my house back! He's supposed to leave for a business trip on Sunday and I think we are going to have to tell him he's not welcome to come back. We don't want or need a roommate. Problem is that I have no idea where he would go and that makes me feel kind of guilty.

Any advice?

Susan don't feel guilty. **** even his own parents won't let him come back home, he must be one heck of a moocher. You gave him a place to stay for a few days and now he's just taken advantage of that. I'd tell him he's going to have to make other arrangements as CasaSusan's is closing.

Sharon ~ where are you going that healthy food choices will be a bust? I bet it'll be fun!!

Francine~ sending : on your competition for promotion!

Tomorrow I'm going to the Detroit zoo with Lane and his 2nd grade class. It suppose to be around 70 so that will be good. I'll get a workout in the morning done and will have lots of walking for the day. Yesterday I hit my highest steps yet 23,258! It'll be interesting tomorrow to see how many I log. Well better go hit the hay. Have a wonderful Wednesday!!
