Thumbs down not doing so well

Ever so tired but I stepped on the scale and about freaked. SO SO busy and haven't evenhad time to weigh in the last 6 wks. I just want sleep , but theres no end in sight, even with spring break around the corner. I still have to do my internship through the break and have tests the first day back(which means studying). My so is sick and I'm sick of work. I'm feeling so emotional, tired and burnt out that all I want is chocolate...and sleep. Well I know this is quite the negative post but I need ever so much to vent. hope I'm not too much of a bother but I am desparatly trying to get back into dieting even though my schedule doesn't allow it. I feel hopelles right now and could use a bit of encouragement.

Don't worry honey, everyone goes through some tough times.. just keep telling yourself you can get through and you will.. Dieting may seem impossible to you now but if you give yourself a couple of hours a week to plan what you'll eat for the week and when (i'm presuming your on the JC diet), then your week will be much easier..
give yourself a break even if its for an hour a day.. belieive me i know what your going through and you probably think you can't even spare an hour for yourself but look carefully and you'll find time.. take a break and do something you enjoy doing or just relax and think.. try to plan your time and that will releive some of the unnecessary stress you're probably experiencing..

I wish you all the best.. take care
Cheers,
Em

Default You Can Do It!

I have been where you are, graduate school, internship, tests etc. Just remember that this will pass, it sounds so old school but it is true. When you look back and see what you were able to accomplish it will amaze you!. Take it one day at a time. If you can maybe on Sunday take some time and plan out your meals. Also, look ahead at your schedule for the upcoming week and make a plan to eat healthier! You'll feel better if you take a little control. I know it is a stressful time, it will get better! Hang in there.

Good luck

Well, you came to the right place for encourgement!!!! You sound overwhelmed and yes it will pass but I know it doesn't seem like it now.

You have been given excellent advise. Why don't you take some baby steps to get started again. Just maybe start with drinking more water and packing snacks to take with you and then add more in a week or so and see how that works.

Just an idea, you need to do what works best for you.

Have missed you.

Oh, man. I hear you! I would suggest taking a short walk. Drop your bag, shove your keys and a couple bucks in your pocket and take a walk- even if it's just around your block. Having no where to go- and nothing to carry for a change!- is great for clearing your mind or working out a plan of action for dealing with all of your responsibilities. I used to take short walks whenever I felt overwhelmed- I need to get back to it!

Seems to me like you have a lot of pressure and are putting too much pressure on yourself from dieting! And the 3 Hour diet right now just feels exactly like a diet to you right now! But keep it mind that it's a lifestyle. You decide to put healthy foods in your mouth! You decide to exercise to get fit! You decide to put chocolate in your mouth because it's been a while you haven't had one! Chocolate is not a bad food! Cake is not a bad food! We can still have some of those foods once in a while. It's okay! It's a lifestyle! Just don't eat 2 or 3 chocolate bars! Or go on a binge because you've already blown your day by having that chocolate.

You are thinking diet diet diet! Get those words out of your mind! Change them by lifestyle! Healthy Foods Equals Healthy Me! Exercising equals Fit Me! I'm not out of breath! I feel good! I eat well, I feel good!

Being on a diet is something you do for a period of time to lose weight and then you go back to the way you were before.

Lifestyle is a way of life. Something that never stops. You can't fail at lifestyle! We all have difficult times that make us fall of the wagon but we just have to get right back on it immediately.

One of the reason I find this lifestyle so successful is the support we receive and give each other! You keep making good decisions and try to get some rest if you can. I know it's not easy, but don't let food dictate your life. Emotional Eating is very hard to overcome, and personally, I don't think I'll ever overcome in. But I do try manage it as much as I can by making smart decisions whenever my brain can win! You can never fail the lifestyle as long as you keep stepping right back on that wagon after each fall!

Take a deep breath and practice deep breathing from your diaphragm. Not only will it relax you, but it's supposed to help you burn more calories.

As the others have said, do one thing at a time. If it's drinking your water now, then so be it. Then in a few weeks, start with the snacks. Then start with your meals.

You can do it and we are here to help you however we can.
