Good morning ladies! And how is everyone this fine Spring day? Spring - yeah, right. It's a typical Colorado first week of Spring - snow on the ground and butt freezing cold temps. But it's supposed to be in the 60s by Saturday.
I've been craving jelly beans for a couple of weeks now. Since it's not going away, I finally broke down and bought a 100 calorie, one oz pack of spring mix jelly bellys. That was just what I wanted. Sometimes it's better to give into those cravings instead of eating a bunch of other stuff trying to solve it.
I have a funny cat story. My 12 year old cat, Vern, has been looking really skinny like he's lost a bunch of weight. People were starting to worry and suggested we take him to the vet since he's so old. I told my husband I wanted whatever it was Vern has that's making him lose weight.
We figure 12 in cat years is about 80 in human years, so he's an 80 year old man. We have a 2 year old cat, Faith, which is about 22 in people years. So, the vet told my husband that Vern has actually gained weight, not lost it and his problem is a 22 year old girlfriend. I told John well, guess I have to get a 22 year old boyfriend now to lose weight.
The two cats chase each other all around the house all day long, so Vern is now getting exercise after his 12 year old sister died in December. He's building muscles and looking leaner.
Guess if you want to lose weight, get a 22 year old!
