Post bumping an old post from Jan.

I was told today at my exercise center that most people that start a diet or exercise routine will drop out by March .

So ladies lets not even think about giving up..we have a great group of women here now and an active group so keep up the posting and someone get ready to do a new challenge for Feb.....

We need to keep motivated.

Plus I'll keep going just to prove them wrong

Phyllis

This sadly seems to be coming true. We seem to have lost a lot of members again. I am hoping that everyone (including myself) will start posting more and maybe we need a new challenge to keep us motivated. We have the 10,000 step one which is great and it seems it will be an on going one. How about another one too. Put on your thinking caps ladies, doesn't have to be a prize involved. I just hate to see this group losing so many members again.

Hey!
I'm going to curves and working out 3 days/wk. Been going for almost a year; had a short break from when I went to MSto work in a Disaster Center, but have been back going strong since Jan. I just started the # hr diet today; so will this exercise help me possible lose more quickly?

besides the walking/pedometer challenge has their been any other....has their been a water challenge...posting how many ounces of water we can consume in a day..am I on the right track...????
I'll keep thinking .... which is a scary thought...

Lou, we have had many challenges and some have included water. And yes if you see a good challenge on one of the other boards we can certainly borrow the idea and do it here.

My life is full of such drama right now and for the next couple of weeks I just can't start one up. But I did one once that was the biggest loser, just a weekly WI and 1 seperate post during the week. Anita won that one!!!!

Yes, Anita I really miss you and Dani too. You are so close to your goal....don't give it up and don't give us up even if you meet your goal....I would just miss everyone here too much to quit posting.

Ok Ladies, summer is around the corner (about here in Florida) BATHING SUIT TIME!!!!!! Let's get the weight falling off....

I'm still here -- I was just too busy yesterday to get on line. It was nuts at work and nuts at home. I won't give up.

And yes, Nascar Girl, exercise will help you to lose weight faster -- going to Curves is a great idea.

Maybe we should have a measurement challenge. My scale is lying to me so pounds be damned!

What would you say to a waist and hips measurement challenge? We could check in twice a week and we'll go with the most combined inches lost as the winner. Want to give it about a month to start? We could measure up this Sunday/Monday with our WI's and get started. We could make the first deadline April 1st- appropriate, huh? Winner gets dessert!

Curves is a great start, Nascar Girl. I like it because you change just at the point where you really want to stop doing the exercise!

My Walgreen's had pedometers for $4.99 right by the check out last week. The expensive ones require you to program a bunch of crap in so mine is sitting on a shelf instead of on my hip. I liked the cheapie much better.

I have been worried about us losing the "resolutionaries", too. My gym is really empty though... I have been slacking big time but I did manage to fit in a smaller size even though my weight stayed the same. I wore the suit today and, baby, it looked chic and sophisticated!

I'm up for that kind of challenge -- but I don't have too many options I can have for dessert.

I like the idea of a measurement challenge. My scale hates me! But measurements don't lie. And exercise can sure pare those inches off!
