Default Happy FAT Tuesday!

Where did everyone go? Oh, right... Mardi Gras! I have to get my weight loss back on track- I am all bloated today after late night snacking. Just yesterday I bought a size 8 suit! Glad I don't have to wear it today...

OK, it's Fat Tuesday. This is my last fat "Fat Tuesday".

Tomorrow Lent begins and it's time to get serious with the program.

I have 365 days to get as close as I can to 150. Which is a pound about every 4 days. I'll be happy with 1 a week.

So starting this morning, everything gets weighed, measured and tracked. 8 to 10 of those water glasses get checked off every single day including weekends. As soon as I finish my antibiotic, it's back to the gym -- which means Monday morning bright and early.

It's time to put my foot down, get serious with myself and get this done. I know I can do it -- all it's going to take is some good old-fashioned hard work and determination. I will not quit this time. I will make this a success.

I have the tools I need, I have the support I need and all it takes now is me.

So, it's 365 days to a thinner me!

I'm here! I love Mardi Gras and wish I could have went down there this year. New Orleans is my favorite city. I made red beans and rice with some healthy choice kielbasa(sp?) sausage.
Susan I totally agree with what you said. It's all up to us to do this. I've been doing my WATP dvds. I did the new 5 mile advance one this morning, awesome awesome workout. So that's my goal, to do those dvds 5x a week. I might even try to get in a one mile on Monday and Fridays, those are the two busy days at work and I'm pretty tired by the end of those days. So maybe if I do a 15 min mile in the morning it'll help.
So lets do this ladies!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, I survived the in laws. There were a few times it was touch and go, but I pulled through. They survived too! I bought a watp dvd, and a pilates for inflexible people dvd. I'm starting them tomorrow.

Had an embarrassing moment today. Walking through the grocery store, and my shoelace is untied. Now, to someone who is not overweight, no big deal, right? But to a woman who's stomach enters the room 2 seconds before she does, BIG trouble. I went down a deserted aisle, hunkered down, smooshed my gut over to one side, and managed to twist myself to the other side to tie my shoe. When I was done, and could resume breathing, I ganced up to see a woman looking at me funny. I just walked away quickly. Really made me want to get this belly off!

My husband has gone back to indifferent. Didn't last as long as I had hoped. I didn't really get sucked in, but it still kinda hurts.

Anyone heard of Cybalta? It's a new anti depressant. I'm going to ask my doctor about it.

Talk to you all later.

Glad to hear from you guys! Laissez les bon Temps Rouler!

Marcie, I'm glad you survived! As for the shoes, I saw some cute slip ons at the mall this evening... hang in there! It WILL go away.

My Fat Tuesday dinner was half a chopped salad at The Cheesecake Factory (no blue cheese- yuck!) bookended by 1 1/2 of their deep fried mac & cheese balls and 3/4 the apple crisp. It could have been worse! I have the salad for lunch tomorrow. I ate all the chicken tonight at the restaurant. I had never been there before and I was pleasantly surprised. I am always skeptical of chain restaurants.

I am going to use Lent as an excuse to get my diet on track. I've been getting recipes from the epicurious and cooking light websites- that's right, yours truly is officially bored enough to cook!!!

I am getting class work done but I have also been easily distracted by EVERYTHING! My apartment and my boyfriend's house are both spotless and the laundry is so done that I'm starting on his kitchen curtains and linen cabinet tomorrow... my second interview is Thursday morning. Let's hope I still have skin on my hands!
