Cool Tues. - February 21

Well my company is gone and I miss them all so much. But I will get to see them all again the first week of May....

I made a new ticker for my new challenge to lose 15 lbs. by that trip. So wish me luck. We will have a picture made with all 7 grandbabies...that should be FUN!!! Remember they are all under the age of 5 yrs.

My weight is up about 3 lbs but I will go back on plan today ...hopefull some of this is water

Thanks to all of you for the good wishes for my BIL. He goes home today and the pain is somewhat under control. Nothing more they can do at the hospital right now. He is to see 2 new Dr.s on Monday and Tuesday and all the test results will be back then they will know the kind of cancer he has, the stage and the treatment plan if any. That is a long wait for them, well for all of us....we are just praying they can keep his pain down. The Dr. said his job from now on will be pain management.

We should all be greatfull for the health we have, he just turned 58 and has always been so healthy.........please keep him in your prayers and my sister and their girls. This could be a long road for him (them).

I threw out all the junk food so today I will stock the house with healthy things and we will go into shock I am sure!

Hope everyone is doing well.

Phyllis

I will keep your BIL in my prayers. My mother is battling colon cancer which was missed last year . She now finds herself in stage three..the chemo and radiatiion have been a nightmare..I am in Florida and she is in Canada which makes me so sad. I wish I could be there to do more.
Where is Florida are you? I am in Palm Beach County.
I am jumping on your bandwagon, I have stayed the same weight for the last 10 days and I am ready to move forward...I will drink lots of water today and get my excersize in.

Morning everyone. I went back to the gym this morning after having been out for 11 days with this cold. 30 minutes on the treadmill and I thought I was going to just die. I guess I'm not back to speed yet.

Did well yesterday morning with food and then lost it after noon. Our kitchen is torn completely apart as we are putting in new counters and we can't cook anything. The stove and the sink are in pieces on the patio. At least here at work I can get decent food in the cafeteria.

Phyllis, sorry to hear about your BIL. Hopefully he will be able to manage his pain soon.

Just talked to John's stepmother. Claire is still in the hospital and on her medication. They expect her to be able to go home on Thursday, but she's still dizzy when she stands. She can't walk without assistance, is having problems still with her hearing and still can't go to the bathroom easily. She may end up having to go back to school in a wheelchair for a while. This seems to be nasty.

Good evening. First chance I've had to get on all day. The good news is I'm doing much better. Had a GREAT therapy session today. Wow. We really have some definate things to work on now. But I will get better!

The bad news is the in laws will be here in 48 hours. (Insert psycho theme song here) Friday shouldn't be too bad, and Saturday is my son's bday party, so that just leaves Sunday. Donna? Want company?

All those with ill family members are in my thoughts. Keep us posted.

Glad therapy is going well, Marcie! Did your therapist have any suggestions for dealing with your MIL?

We actually didn't get to that part. An hour goes by so fast! And I am simply resigned to getting through the visit. Think I need to run by the liquor store!

Ha! It is a myth that you can't smell vodka... how about getting them drunk?
