Plus Size Beauty

  • Daisy included a link to The Judgment of Paris website in one of her posts. Absolutely gorgeous! This is a website dedicated to plus size women, and these models are truly beautiful. And they all look so happy, confident, and sexy. You all should check it out. Very uplifting. The link is www.judgmentofparis.com.
  • I think this is very very important - to learn that beauty is NOT at all related to size. In fact you can loose all the weight you want but if you are not 110% convinced that you are a goddess at any size you will STILL not be happy.

I take a few moments to peruse that site whenever I am having a day where I feel the need to beat myself up for whatever reason. I love to read the forum. There are lots and LOTS of people out there who love and appreciate a woman with curves. It is for this reason precisely that I really do not care to be any smaller than a 12/14.

Anyway - I hope you all find this sit to be as uplifting as I, and apparently Marcie, do.
  • I've seen some very unattractive thin women. And a lot of thin women that shouldn't be allowed to take their clothes out of the store either. Watch the Oscars in a couple of weeks and you are bound to see some very icky dresses.

I find it funny how years ago a size 12 was considered thin and now it isn't.
  • I tell people I weigh 150 and wear a size 12 and they don't believe it. It is not because I carry weight well, trust me. I honestly think it is because women have been lying for centuries about what they weigh. Women with curves were all the rage in the 50s yet these same women claimed they weighed 110-125 lbs. There is simply no way that is possible without padding or amputation. As a healthy size 4, I weighed 127-130. If I weighed 115, I would be eating through a tube! I haven't weighed 125 since before I could legally drink. No wonder our body image is so distorted...
