Talking Friday....

Just checking in....this week has flown by for me with the daughter and her family here.

We have eaten way too much, had pizza and birthday cake and ice cream last night I will really have to buckle down when they leave.

I am enjoying their visit so much, my 5 yr. old grandson is such a grown up now and we can sit and talk, play games (without having to let him win). lol
Adam the 11 mth. old is a joy, such a good baby and smiles all the time. I will really miss them.

Hope everyone is having a good week.

Phyllis

Enjoy it! I'm sure with all the activity you're getting exercise, too!

Hi Phyllis & Janet & Everyone,

I went to a "ladies' brunch" today. The Lady had a lovely home (but freezing cold). I watched one of the thinnest people & put on my plate what she had on hers. Fruit, 1 small blintz w tsp of sour cream & 1/2 piece of quiche. It was actually plenty. Had I just picked myself, I would have chosen more of the pastries.

OK - about a "ladies' brunch." I told my girlfriend I was going & asked how come we never had "ladies' brunch" before - she said was probably because we were working women as opposed to ladies who could prepare brunches on a Friday morning. Oh well, maybe in my next life, I'll be rich instead of beautiful:-))

Hi everyone. I'm just checkin in also. It's been a hard couple of days for me, my grandfather had a massive stroke yesterday morning. He is going home today with help from hospice and is non responsive. We don't expect him to be with us for much longer.
I hope everyone has a beautiful weekend. Take the time to hug your family and friends and tell them how much you love them.
