Godo morning everyone. How are we all doing? Not too well here, I feel like a bus has hit me and then backed back over me. I just took some more Advil cold and sinus and hopefully it will kick in before I have to go to work. Anyone have any special plans this weekend?
Steven is going to his first *teen* party tonight, ugh now that is something else for me to worry about. I am so not ready for this stage in his life but it had to come.
OK I am off to hope into a hot shower and get ready for work.
AWE!!! I know you're drinking a lot of fluids already, but try to increase them, it will make you feel better. Also, the advil cold and sinus works well, but for me..it only works for 4 hours!!!
My plans for the weekend are nill. I need to get my hair done and me and the hubby might have a card party...I'm scared!!! I'm a chip lover so hopefully i'll do well with not snacking!!
What I do is I take 2 capsules in the morning and 2 capsules at night and it usually keeps me feeling better through out the day. You can take up to 6 capsules a day so taking the two twice day really helps me.
Take your own chips to the chip party and pick up some baked chips! They are much better for you! Good luck!
Sorry your not feeling well Laurie....try to get as much rest as you can too.
Did my workout yesterday and did about 10 mins. extra trying to build up some staminia. I really enjoy it and the 30 min. goes so fast, just need to make it part of my lifestyle now.
Got my hair cut pretty short and a bit darker this time, my dh says I look younger so younger is good!!!
I am working today and no big plans on the week-end...have a play next week and that involves a big dinner out with a group that goes....so I am laying low this week-end, especially since I ate out last night and blew it on a wonderful large baked potato with butter and sour cream . I rarely do that type of splurge so I will have to work that off....but you notice I said it was wonderful....
Well, got all the bad out of my system for the week in one potato....moving on!
Morning everyone,
Laurie hope you feel better as the day progresses. No special plans for me this weekend. Just trying to stay on track. The weekend is normally the hardest when it comes to eating at the right time.
Okay - I'll fess up. My plans for this weekend are to take down the Christmas tree!! Yes, it is still up! But I just haven't had ANY time to get it done. I PROMISE it will be down and put in the attice by the end of Sunday!!
Other plans are Bobby has a basketball game tonight, I'm taking him to a Professional Bullriders show Saturday night and another basketball game Sunday. Michelle has dance tonight, tomorrow morning and a confirmation class Sunday morning. Other than the Bullriders show, my weekend plans are to drive everyone everywhere (same as every other day!!!)
Laurie, I hope you are feeling better. Don't forget the chicken noodle soup - that always makes me feel better!
Okay ladies, stop and THINK about every bite this weekend before you eat. Make each bite count! NOTHING tastes as good as thin feels!!
Laurie - feel better soon!!! Rest, fluids and more rest!
This weekend I have bowling and lunch with girlfriends tomorrow and a day full of yardwork with dh. Yippie. I am NOT looking forward to eating lunch out tomorrow - AT ALL. But I shall try to do my best...
Oh - Here is a logistical dilemma. Lunch is at 11:30 - expect actually eat around noon... how the heck do I accomplish that? I get up usually between 6-6:30...
I went to the gym yesterday!!! I am so proud of myself. It has been over a month, and it's so hard to get back to it. Especially when you are a bit agoraphobic. I did 30 min on elliptical, 30 min on treadmill. I feel GREAT today.
Busy today. Taking the kids skating, so I won't have to go to the gym. Two hours of skating, and I am wiped!
My husband called last night. He hadn't made it to Iraq yet! They were stuck in this other country, hoping to arrive sometime this AM.
Better go. It was so nice chatting with you all Wed.
Today is my day for socializing. I met Karen J (Serenity) this morning - I think I talked her into coming back here to post. Met my sister for lunch; and am going to watch others play canasta tonight - I don't play but I want to learn.
My class is going well. So far, so good with eating.
Don't feel bad about the Christmas tree, Sharon. I never even bothered decorating this year. My boyfriend and I got his real tree up and strung with lights but never quite managed to get ornaments on it! Have fun...
Marcie, welcome back to the gym! Good for you! Be sure to stretch tonight to avoid the day 2 post-workout hangover.
I'm going to be looking at house plans tomorrow. I may be moving into a "big girl house" instead of holding out in my one bedroom apartment. I just hate to make that big of a financial commitment... especially since I can't even decide on a couch I like and have camp chairs in my living room!
Laurie - sorry you are still not feeling well. The flu is supposed to hit hard the next couple of weeks, so you might have it.
Marcie - I'm so proud of you for going to the gym!
DaisyBug - I get up at 6:00/6:30 too. I have my morning snack then (power bar and milk). I have breakfast at 9:00 and lunch at noon. Don't know if you can do that or not (sorry, I don't know everyone's names yet).
Tomorrow should be interesting food-wise. I have hockey tickets for the Avs/Red Wings at noon and my hockey buddy wants to eat at the arena. I'm allergic to 99% of the stuff there. The vendors always look at me kind of weird when I ask for a hot dog not on the bun. After hockey, my husband is meeting us at the arena and then we are going downtown and have dinner and go to a movie.
Sunday is football! GO BRONCOS! Actually, after church and our married couples class, the boys are going to get together to watch the game. I had already committed to going downtown to feed the homeless with a group, so I'm going to do that. That may take too long for me to make it to boy's day out to watch the game so I may get the afternoon to myself!
