I was reading one of Lafayettes post and wanted to remind you of this: The more weight you have to lose the easier and quicker it may come off in the beginning but the closer and closer you get to your goal and the smaller and smaller you get it can and will take more time and effort. Those last 10-20lbs or more depending on how much you have to lose can be a pain in the rear to get off, so you are feeling that you are at a plataue at any point in your weightloss journey, your body may have gotten adjusted to your new life style and isnt' reactting the way it use to to the losing weight and inches so try changing something in your routine up. Like add more cardio or when you go to the gym start a totally new routine on the weights or if you are taking a class find a different class to go to. If you are just walking, through some weight training in with it. Sometimes you just gotta change things up to get that weighloss moving again. If you are eating the same thing routinely and you find yourself STS alot, change it up if you eat alot of carbs, cut them back and add more protein or vice versus. A simple change can mean alot and just remember the LESS you have to lose, the harder it can be to get it off!
I have also read to get over a plateau, keep your cals low/normal about 1400 cals for 3 days then the 1 day of high cals - 1800 or so. Never go more than 3 days of high cal. If you are still stuck, clean up your diet, more veggies and 100% whole grains, and if you are STILL stuck try taking out dairy and fruit until you see progress again.
Thanks Laurie for the reminder
