Good Morning Everyone,

Yesterday, I decided to make Boulliabaise for Donald's homecoming. As I was attempting to open the clams, I punctured my hand with a knife (after the knife had opened a clam). The knife went deep - lots of blood - and I'm sure I got infected - of course, I didn't have any peroxide around. I'm off to the Emergency Room today to get a stitch and a shot.

Donald's doing well. We'll see what happens when we try to get him up today after his being in bed since Sunday.

I haven't decided what new recipe I'll make today, but I know it won't have clams!

Oh Lynn I am so sorry to hear that!!! Hopefully it won't need sticthes. I have to work again today, short day 10-2:30. They gave me some hours next week so I am assuming now I am an official employee and not just seasonal since seasonal ends on the 14th. Not sure how I feel about that. Its something to make some pocket change.

Anyone have any special plans this weekend? Not me, I am getting alittle worried about WI cause I got on the scale this morning and I am STS and I have done much better this week and have even walked 3 days. Who knows whats going on. I need to really start being careful about that salt though.

I am trying to get my groceries ordered and am just not in the right frame of mind today - I am crabby as all get out today and feel ready to bite someone's head off. Think I will go have some tension tamer tea. Grrrrr.

Lynn I am so sorry to hear about your hand - I hope its not infected and pray that it heals quickly!!

Laurie - it seems with retail that once they get you in their claws and they like you, suddenly you start getting more hours and then days added to your schedule!! My sister has been working a full time job and then a part time job with Hallmark - and she went from 1 evening a week to 3 evenings a week since Christmas!!! Unfortunately I have to go to her house and let her dogs out and feed them their evening dinner when she works evenings. Kind of a pain in the butt - but she has done so much for me I hate to say I can't help. She lives about 20 minutes away and its a heavy traffic area - so it really takes away from my time at home. Just be careful!!

Lynn -- take care of your finger! Aren't you supposed to boil clams and they open? At least that is what you do for muscles?? Anyway, hope it feels better.

Laurie -- remember to not get discouraged should the scale not move. It WILL eventually - you know that!!

I almost forgot to tell you guys! I stayed OP last night at Bunco! It was WAY hard - but I did it! I am hoping for a pay off on Sunday!

Today is my DD Danae's birthday. She is 10 already! Where does time go?! I ran out of time last night to go get cupcakes or donuts for her class so this morning me and the babies packed up and went to the little country store in town by the school and I just got Laffy Taffy sticks. $6 for the whole class. Tell me that ain't cheaper then cupcakes! LOL. She has 4 friends coming over to spend the night and go with her to her basketball game in the morning. It should be an interesting evening!

I am hungry today. I think that has something to do with why I am so crabby. There is no real reason for me to be hungry - sometimes at TOM I get really really hungry. But - too bad - I am NOT eating. Not until it is time. I will have some more tea.

AT our schools here we are disallowed to send in cupcakes or candy or anything with sugar. Can you believe that? I swear people are getting goofy! I even have a little tradition - I put ONE hershey's kiss in ds' lunch pail with his snack - a kiss from mommy I always tell him - I had to get permission to continue to send it and I had to tell him not to "show" it to anyone. WTH?! How in the world does it get this goofy I ask you?!!

Daisy~ My experience has been when I have a day that I am starving, it seems to be my metabolism adjusting and I show a loss for weigh in! Keep that in mind and don't give in!

Oh - I am nothing if not stubborn. It is sort of funny this time. I have not once said I am trying to lose 50 lbs this year - I have only said I am losing 50 lbs this year. I am, as they say, ****-bent on making it so - and believe me - it WILL happen. Thanks for the encouragement.
