Default Happy Monday Morning!!

Morning ladies! How is everyone feeling this bright sunny Monday morning? I got on the scale this morning again and I am down another pound. I think following Dr. Daisy's suggestion of laying off the carb snacks and eating more protein is really helping.

Lynn how is Donald doing? Hope he gets to for sure come home today!! Give him a big hug for us!!

How was everyone's weekend? Anyone do anything special? I had a dinner party here on Saturday for some of my single mommy friends and their little ones and if I EVER do that again, someone smack me!! Geez there's some wild kids out there!!!

Anyone have any special plans this week? Today is suppose to be a nice day so I am taking Keilyn to the park this afternoon, assuming she doesn't drive me insane with this 3yr attitude she has been toting around lately!

Hope everyone has an awsome day!

I can understand about extra kids...I had two over on Saturday...a 7yr old and a 4 year old...wow they can really terrorize the house!!! Couldn't believe my 8 yr old invited his friend without asking!!! The kid and his mom knocked on the door...thought he had ok'd it with hubby found out he didn't...

Some kids are just completely out of control - one of ds' friends is just a little jerk. His parents just screem at him. They never go to him and physically stop him from doing whatever it is they want him to tsop. I just want to slap them too sometimes.

Work is busy right now which is weird - I have bunco this week - now THERE is a dieting nightmare if I ever saw one. But it will be different this time. I am NOT going to do it to myself. I will eat an early dinner - at 4:00 ish and then snack at 7:30 at bunco - but no yummy dessert at 10pm - that is just an awful awful thing. But you know when you get with a group like that and everyone (almost everyone) is like 50 pounds overweight or more - well - you know...

Anyway - I am NOT writing down a gain this week so I WILL do the right thing on Thursday!

Have a great week gals!

Hey Daisy, I think you are I are head-to-head for the lead. Do NOT eat that dessert at 10. Leave at 9:55 if you have to, but don't blow all the wonderful work you accomplished last week!

Well, for once, it is sunny here in Cincinnati for a change . The weather has been unseasonably warm - does wonder for my hot flashes what with having to wear wool suits to work and all!!

The weekend was crazy - lots of major cleaning around my house. DH has a cold and let me tell you - I hope the guy never has to deal with a major illness. He was being ridiculous Saturday what with sniffles and a cough and all - give me a break!!! I was ready to strangle him. My son, who is now 15, is a social butterfly - always has to be at a friend's house or have a friend over. My daughter, who is now 12, is a recluse. Never comes out of her room and doesn't do much with her friends. I am worried about her. She used to do so much before my cancer and now she just wants to be at home - like she's waiting for me to kick the bucket or something. Kind of freaks me out and when I talk to her about it, she says thats not the case. Sooooo hard to raise these kids!!

Work is a pain - too long of a story to go into now. Let' just say I am playing the lottery more than I used to!!

As for my weight - so frustrated with myself. I have been walking like I said I would do as one of my goals. Really having a tough time getting water in, because when I was on chemo - water was about the worst thing to try and drink. So, I have gotten back into the soft drink habit. Its so hard to change everything at once and I was hoping exercise would give me a jump start. I know, baby steps!!!

Enough for now - everyone have a great week!!!

Hi Teri - I wonder if your daughter wouldn't benefit from a depression screening from a doctor - maybe she could use an adult confidant outside of the family - like a counselor. You are probably right - she is probably terrified that she will go out and have a good time and then you will not be there when she comes back. Wouldn't surprise me if she doesn't want to burden you with her troubles... you know how it can be as a young teen/pre-teen - everything is either wonderful or horrible - there is seldom anything inbetween...

Anyway - hang in there - be kind to yourself. Remember that your body hears everything you think. Baby steps... you are right...

I currently have 2 yr old twins up for adoption! Very cute! If you tie them up, they MIGHT sit still long enough to look at them. Just kidding! They are running in circles around me! What phase is the moon in ?
We had a good weekend. I spent the day on Saturday with my Mom and oldest daughter for her birthday - I can't believe she will be 10! We went to lunch and then to the mall and then went and lounged at Barnes&Noble. Who would think a 10 r old would love that place too! She figures we should go there at least once a week! I would be broke!
Saturday night Dan and I had a short but much needed and very nice evening out alone. We went to dinner at Cisco's. Yesterday was mostly a lazy day picking up the house then we went to my parents for the evening and I FINALLY got to see me new niece. My DB and his wife has a little girl a week ago - Joclyn Elaine. Cute little peanut!
I really gotta focus this week! I can! I will! Water! Water! Water!
Oh I almost forgot! We have a new addition to our already loony family! We got a new puppy on Friday! What the **** was I thinking! He's a border Collie mix and so SO cute! He seems to be settling in nicely and training starts SOON!!!!!
Have a wonderful day all! Sorry I babbled - missed ya'll this weekend!

Are tasers legal in your state, Donna?

My boyfriend and I had a quiet weekend at home. We did venture out to go the mall but deliberately made it a quick trip. What a zoo! I hear you about parents needing a good beating! It always amazes me how people allow their kids to act in restaurants!

For the late night snack, Daisy, if you have to give in, have a cup of low fat hot chocolate. It's about 50 calories. I have friends who insist on wrecking my diet, too. The fastest way to free desserts is to say you are on a diet!!!

OMG Donna! A puppy?! The 6 kids weren't enough, eh?

I really don't know how you do it. You must have soooo much patience. My 2 girls drive me batty enough. I think I would have to commit suicide if I had more. Kudos to you!

So far so good OP. I need to drink my water, though. I will get some now....

Have a great day everyone!

Okay, DOnna - that is just madness... LOL...

I can pass up dessert - I will have decaf coffee and suck on a piece of chocolate candy or something... it will be okay.

That a girl, Daisy!!! I'm rootin for ya!!!!

Donna, my sister got a part border collie / part something else a couple of months ago. Her name is chompers - if that tells you anything. She loves to chew - hands, toys, cabinets.....if it doesn't eat her first, she is going for it Have fun with your new puppy - they are fun, and, like kids - they grow up!!!! They go through the terrible two's, the horrible teens and finally settle down into adult doggyhood. You can always get new carpet and replace that couch in a couple of years

HEHE! And what about the damage the dog does? We also have a 3 yr old Lab/Rott who is just a sweetie. She has had a few litters and is a good momma so I am hoping she will adopt Shilo. He is doing great tho and settling right in. Tomorrow I might introduce him to the horses if its not raining. That exactly what I don't need is a dog who chases livestock!
Have a wonderful day! Wherever there is sunshine - enjoy it for me! It's flooding here.
