Is Dr. Daisy in?!?!
hehehehehe ;) Remember last week when you mentioned to me about pushing protein for my snacks cause of my low blood sugar...etc?!?!?!?
Well I have really been trying to do that and I *feel* 110% better!!! Staying fuller longer and not having the headaches or dizzy spells. That was pretty much what the doctor told me awhile back and well being the absent minded person I am, I didn't do it :o Thanks for the push in the right direction and the kick in the butt! :p |
I read recently that if you have a carb (complex or otherwise) without a protein if your body is going to store anything as fat it is then. Protein cannot be stored as fat.
Just a note for those who are at a plateau or feel stuck. Maybe switch your snacks to protein or add a protein to it like lowfat cheese or non / 1% milk. Way to go Laurie~ I am glad you are feeling better! |
Awww - NP Laurie... I have the same problem - I just know that I fare better with a protein snack - even though popcorn is my favorite, LOL... Whoever made those little cheesesticks should be awarded the nobel peace prize, IMO!

Good tip, Donna! Plus, protein really does keep you full for longer!
|
Laurie,
Did you ever read that book by Kathleen DesMaisons? Lynn |
Yes I did and I need to go back and re-ead it. I am just been in denial I guess about what I need to do!
|
What book?
Vicki |
Potatoes before Prozac or something like that! I can't remember the exact title at the moment.
|
Ok thanks..."Potatoes Not Prozac" I just ordered it from the library...
I love ordering from the library cause we have a branch downstairs at work so I am able to pick up what ever at lunch usually two days later... |
Vicki,
Where do you work that you have a library downstairs? Lynn |
I work in City Hall. there is a Public Administration branch in city hall(I can't browse there only law stuff) so I can order my books online and am called when they come in.
