Dani - that sounds great. We could do the hat thing!!! I'm comfortable with everyone - do we have everyone's phone numbers, etc. My email will be changing because we are not going to be dial up anymore (my DH got tired of me calling him the caveman):lol: Finally!!!

I might like to try this buddy thing, but I know I am not good with keeping up with people via the telephone. Email is the best way for me to communicate. If you are like me and don't mind having an email buddy to check up on you, then we could pair up. I just know if I agree to the phone way, I will let you down.

I'm pretty much the same, not a phone person....would do fine with e-mails, cards or IM....how does everyone else feel??? Phyllis

What ever you feel most comfortable with, but you HAVE to be consistant, check in every day if you don't this buddy system will not work! So everyone pick a buddy and go for it! Get that motivation going!

You pick your own buddy if you like, I dont' want to put you with someone you may not feel comfy with so go ahead and email/pm or YIM the person you would like to buddy up with and see if they still need a buddy.

My two cents worth is that if we stick to the people we already are in contact with we will not have any growth in the group...I am not a telephone person but I have had e-mail with several women and IM with a few. No one has ever phoned me. I know if I stick to the ones I already have contact with I am not getting to know so many other women here.

It seems many women here go in spurts of posting, then not posting...someone is going to get their feelings hurt.

How many of you are phone friends? Or just IM friends? Maybe we can switch buddies every 3 mths or so to keep us making new friends??? I just hate to see anyone get hurt when a member goes into a funk & quits being in contact for a week or so, again just my opinion.

I will do what the group chooses but please be careful if you make the commitment of everyday contact and don't follow thru....I have seen groups fall apart in similar situations.

That is why I said let you choose someone on your own, its up to you. You can pick someone that you dont' know that well and get to know them or do what YOU as an individual feel is the best for them. I am leaving this up to you guys, I am not going to pick who you can buddy up with because if your buddy does get in this funk or if you have a clash of personality, I dont' want to feel at fault or guilty cause I buddied you up with this person. So if there are two of you who love talking on the phone that is great you can buddy up, that would work perfectly for you, that is why I want you to pick your own buddy and by all means you dont' have to even buddy up if you dont' like. This is optional just something for some extra support.

What do you think of switching about every 2 or 3 weeks? That way if someone bails thier buddy can stay on track with support. I don't know, just a thought.

Sounds good to me Donna, this does not have to be this difficult. You just have to be a 100% partcipate because someone else is depending on you!
