Cool Thurs., Sept. 8

Well, I thought I would start the morning thread again. I miss all you guys posting. Seems like we all got busy at once, I am guilty too.

But the holidays are right around the corner and I am desperate to lose as much weight as I can by the first of Nov. We have a mini vacation in Ft. Lauderdale and a 2 night cruise to Nassau.

Then of course Thanksgiving (with ALL that food), Christmas and New Years.
Yikes I really need to get busy on this weight loss, don't we want to be slimmer by then????

So this is my recommitment to the JC program, INCLUDING EXERCISE, I am going to skim through my book again and do the very basics that I know work for me.

Any one want to join me?

Phyllis

Thanks Phyllis for the reminder that if we don't set some positive habits now before the holidays it could be disasterous! I'm with ya! This is my 2nd week of exercising 5 days. So far so good. The last 2 nights I could've just crawled in bed and zonked but I knew when I got on the elliptical, no matter how hard it was, I would feel awesome about myself. I went grocery shopping last night, and it was so hard to leave the cookies and junk food - but I did! YAY! I was tired and in the past would have sat down with a package of oreos and ate half of them with a huge glass of milk. I haven't has an oreo in 3 months! I know if I wanted to I could have 1 for a treat but I know I couldn't eat just 1, so I don't buy them anymore. I feel like I am finally setting habits instead of winging it everyday hoping for the best. I am past "hoping" I can lose 40 lbs before Mexico. I know I can!
Come on everybody! We can do this!!!!! Jump up, dust off, and EAT! OP-every 3 hrs!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

Hi gals:

This journey we all share is unique for each of us. I'm still learning the plan, and am still amazed that NOTHING is off limits. I do know that certain things trigger binges in me, so I avoid them. We all have to know what we are capable of, as well as what are limits are. What is not a good idea for Donna may be okay for me, and so on.

To me, knowing myself is the best power to dropping the pounds and getting healthy.

Gotta roll...will check in on you all later!

Hi everyone,

Speaking of binges I have to report that I binged on crackers last night. I don't know what got into me. I must pull myself back on track again! I did end up doing 40 minutes on the stairmaster yesterday -- appx 350 cals.

Nothing new here but I need to vary my workouts and tighten the belt again. I am going to plan my exact meals again and my exact workouts each day and write them down. That seems to help me stay focused.

Good luck to everyone!

Also, I agree about the holidays. It is best to loose the weight before then because we all know how the holidays are (though I still plan to watch over the holidays).

Hi All!!

OMG Anita, you did 40 minutes on stair master...My knees hurt just thinking of that!!! LOL. Your right about watching over the holidays...I mean we have all started a new journey and even if we eat things we know what we are doing...this has really made us all more aware of what we put in our mouths...weither we choose to listen to our head to eat or not to eat that wonderful holiday spread is our new battle!
