Angry My 5yr. old Grandsons 1st day of Kindergarten

The school bus dropped him off at the WRONG SCHOOL!!!!!

The driver realized it and got him back and to the right school

Needless to say my daughter was having a fit as she was there waiting on him at school to make sure his first day on the bus was OK!!! So she will be a nervous wreck for a few days until he learns the routine....

Their remark to her was "we have never lost a kid yet" duh!!

But my grandson thinks his day was GREAT!!! He loved riding the bus....
ahh youth isn't it grand.

I would be LIVID!!!!!! I could not be okay with that for a long time! I drive and pick up my DS from 1st grade everyday and I park about 25-30 feet from the door and even if the door doesnt open soon enough I get all upset.

Children are so precious and as mothers we invest every moment we have to them. So to know there was a glitch at all is nerve racking~

Exclamation

I would contact whoever is in charge of the school and let them know what happened, so that they can be aware that there "may" be a problem with their transport system. I would not care that it is the first day for the driver or not! It should not happen! One can still also say something 'nice' about the same driver to the principal!
You can compare this to giving a patient #10 the medicine of patient #1, just because the nurse started at the 'wrong end' of the room with giving the medicine. No excuse - she needs to realise just how BAD it could have turned out - she will guaranteed never do it again.....hehe..... (been there, done that once a very long time ago )
Kids are precious - a negligent driver is NOT acceptable! Think of future kids he/she transports.
Now I will get off my soap-box......

When my DD started kindergarten (37 yrs ago), she decided she didn't like it & walked out to come home (along a highway!). She was picked up & brought back to school by another school child's mother who had promised my DD she would call me & let me know my DD didn't like school.

I was at the school & raising !@##$%$%^^&* within 10 minutes of the call. After the Principal and the Teacher calmed me down, my daughter came out and told me to go home - she decided she liked it - even though all she was learning was "t's".
