Default How are you all??

How is everyone doing? It sure seems quiet around here.
I went to my nephew's one year old birthday party last night. I ate cake and ice cream. BAD me. But today has been a great day! I just have to get the excercise back in the picture. My neck and back are sore, from I have no idea what, and it hurts to move right now. Hopefully it will just go away on its own and I can start moving again!

I miss you all!! Where are you?? How are you?? We need to have a CHAT again soon... I miss those!!!

oh we have been so busy with football and keiliyn's birthday and getting ready for school to start again (it did today! YAY!) and just tons of other stuff going on. Things are going OK with me, I seem to do good all day until about 2-5pm! that is a rough time for me. I have to work on that.

Hi guys! I wish I had your energy!

This morning was my weigh in day. Another depressing morning. However, this might be due to TOM being around the corner. But either way... still depressing. Now grant it, I have not read enough of JC's book to know what I am really doing yet. But I am eating 6 meals/snacks each day! Did you all gain weight at first doing this? I try to make healthy choices at all times. My worst choices are 1/2 cup of ice cream or one of those 100 cal. packs... all of which are not normal! They are only eaten on occasion.

I really need to finish reading the book! That might help a lot more. But I sure hope to see something positive soon.

Tracy~
If you are exercising and haven't for awhile you may sts or gain due to building muscle then the weight will start to fall off. If you are not - START!! Maybe post a food journal for the week and we can check and see is your portions are right? Remember 400 cal meals and 100 cal (200 cal if you are between 200-250 lbs) snacks. And the 100 cal. snack packs, unless you have high blood sugar or the sort, should be fine for a daily snack, but of course watch what may be a trigger for you. For me it's peanut butter. And make sure you are getting all your water! You are on the right track! Keep it up girlfriend!

Donna,

Thanks for the reply! In short (I am getting tired) exercise = 0. Back is still out. Calories.. unknown. I have not read that part yet in the book so I didn't know. I wasn't watching calories just portions... however, I eat big salads and that might not help! Water.. not much.

I think I really need to read my book and get through it faster! I just have not been feeling very well lately. I am hoping to be able to maybe get in to see my doctor very soon. I am not sure what is going on with me. I know it is not just depression etc. I think medically (diabetes, thyroid, low or high sugars, whatever) something might be wrong. I am not sure on any of it though. I just hope they will run some tests and figure out if something is wrong with me. No matter what I do, I have to sleep during the day (most of the day) and I still sleep through the night... getting up a couple of times of course because my back hurts but going right back to sleep. I am not sure what is going on though.

Tracy~ hon, just focus on feeling better! The best thing for your back is walking at a comfortable pace, so if you can get even a short one in that would be great! The basic I gave you before are just that - the basics. Follow it as you can with balanced meals until you get through the book and I'm betting you will notice a difference in your energy levels. I know i did. Since starting this plan I have been off my meds for depression completely and I feel really good. Keep up the great work, you gotta start somewhere hey!
Also in the back of the book - and I think Laurie posted it here on the site is a list of free food. Have as big a salad as you want (lettuce is "free" and add lots of veggies. If you want to add meat or eggs or such count it as a meal.

Hey everyone....I'm around...just kinda lurking....don't have much to tell except I am trying really hard to stay positive...still working out 6 days a week and working with trainer. Still eating every 3 hrs...do so good until dinner time..then I do something quick for the family and I guess that is where I am getting in trouble. The scale refuses to go down and I must not be getting enough water b/c fingers are staying swollen....so gotta get in maybe 40 more oz. that would be about 120 oz. Girls..what is your thought on substituting some of your water for Crystal Light??? I am soooo sick of water!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While I was on WW they said I could drink DECAF iced tea or crystal light in place of some of my water. So I don't see a problem with it. But make sure it is DECAF.

I do a lot of salads lol. My problem is that I don't care for many veggies and I can't eat many hard and cold things either due to dental problems. I eat more veggies now then I did my whole life though lol. I am not going to give up... something has to work... even if it is making several different plans into one to get them to work! Thanks for the encouragement!! I sure do appreciate it. It is definetely a big help! I found several pages of foods in the book. I just need to get to reading it.

Thanks you guys for the suggestions! I get those Crystal Light Packets on the go and put half a packet in a 20 oz bottle of water and then after I finish that I put the other half in another 20 oz bottle of water. The rest of my water is just regular water.
Thanks Phyllis for the support!!
