Unhappy I Start Tomorrow

Chemotherapy, that is. And, probably my period, too I will be at the Dr.'s office all day - giving blood, filling out forms (more forms and then more forms) and then get my chemo. I am going to take lots of water!! I really dread this. However, I'm trying to keep upbeat and think of the chemo like little pac men going around eating up all the bad stuff (unfortunately, they eat the good stuff, too) The Dr. said this will put me right into what they call "Chemopause" - full blown menopause - aacck!!! So - NO MORE TOM I can handle that. I just hope I can handle the hot flasheshehe. I went to pick up my wig Saturday and get it cut. It's a little blonder than my hair, so I asked Sarah (the hairdresser) to tone it down a little. She cut it a little longer than my hair is now - we'll see. I get my head shaved September 2nd and then the wig

I'll let you know how it goes!! Keep me in your prayers.

Hi Teri,

When my girlfriend got chemo, she never lost her hair. Are you sure you will lose yours?

Thumbs up

Terri, Many hugs for you.....stay positive, you are going to be FINE!!!

I had one friend didn't lose her hair the other did....I gave her my wig and she wore a lot of scarves too. Do you have to shave your head, can't you wait and see??? Bottom line though-you need to do what is right for you!

I will keep you in my prayers and am sending only good vibes your direction!

Take care and let us know how your doing. Phyllis

Teri:

I'll be praying for you tomorrow - for lots of God's comfort and healing and wisdom to those health professionals ordering and administering your chemo. Keep your positive attitude - you'll get through this. Thanks for sharing this next journey with us. We care about you and want to help you through this time.
