Good Morning LL'rs:

Looks like I'm first here this morning. Well, I need to buckle down today. I had a few slips yesterday with food. My youngest DD and had a friend over and they baked a big chocolate cookie with a sweet topping. I had a very small piece as my 4 pm snack and then took 2 more bites by the the end of the night. Then I have all of these ripe banana so I baked a banana bread - the one in the Pampered Chef cookbook,Stoneware Sensations - it's the bread with banana, peanut butter and choc. chips. It is so good. I haven't eaten that yet, but it's calling me. I need to give it away. Maybe I'll send it with my husband to work.

It never gets easy. Always a stuggle to stay OP. I'm wondering if I'll ever be a like a normal thin person. Able to turn good stuff away or just have a bite or 2 and say that is enough. NOT!

Not much going on today. I want to wash my van today. Still helping oldest DD get ready for college. We leave at 6 am on Thursday.

Thinking of Teri and her chemo today. Prayed for her this morning asking for God's strength for her on this next leg of her journey. What a great attitude she has.

Have a great day everyone.

Karen,

Good morning! It does not sound like you did all that bad! I would have ate a lot more of that cookie! I love chocolate lol. The banana bread sounds awesome too! Is that not allowed on JC's plan?

I am still reading my book so I have not officially started yet. I have a lot to learn before I can start. I bought a ton of banana's yesterday and would love to try to make a bread with it! But if that bread is not allowed I don't think it would be a good idea lol. If it is allowed.. can you send the recipe on the board here? I would probably skip the chocolate chips though lol. That would make it to addicting for me lol. I will have to check out the recipe web sites for some recipes on there too.

Not being stupid... but I don't recall reading about this..... who is Teri and what is she getting chemo for? The reason I ask is because my mom is going through chemo and radiation for lung cancer.

Anyway, I hope you have a great day!!

We will definately be thinking about Teri today!!! We love you Teri!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Teri, is one of our original groupies we have been posting with since we all started JC, I hope Teri doesn't mind me saying but she was diagnosed with breast cancer and has had such wonderful spirits about her while fighting this battle. She is such an inspiration to us all!!!

OH BTW, Teri, how are your goodies in your basket? Did you use them all yet?!?!?

Oh my goodness. I cannot imagine. I went through that scare roughly a year ago. They ran test after test after test. But they all came back negative. We never did find out what was wrong. I have to keep watch though because my aunt had it.

Teri,

Good morning. I am sorry to hear about your situation (for lack of better words). I wish you the best in everything. I hope your feeling well throughout this time and doing well. Keep your spirits up!

Good Morning Everyone,

Breakfast - 1/4 melon; 1 cup yogurt; 1 sl pumpkin bread

No promises - I'm taking this 1 minute at a time.

Donald's DS is supposed to come for lunch today - we'll see. He's not the most reliable person in the world.

Donald and I have no aid today or Thursday. We're going to see how we do without one. If this works, we will keep Tuesdays & Thursdays aid-free.

Yesterday, I made reservations for a Fall weekend vacation. For Donald, me, my sister, and Selekie (Donald's favorite aid). A Rennaissance hotel in White Plains NY - GREAT Friday night seafood buffet. Then 2 nights at Mohegan Sun Casino in CT.

Yesterday I had my CAT scan - maybe hear from them by end of the week.

Teri - I love you. Just visualize that chemo seeking out those cancer cells and deep-freezing them.

Hope we all have a good day,

Lynn

Good morning to all!

Ok yesterday i blow it, my mother and my brother going back to Hungary for 2 months, and they came to say good bye, with a oreo cake, and perogies, so i had 1 1/2 slice of cake, and 14pice of perogies with parmesan on top. well the 14 pice where trough the lunch and dinner. but still! I did wo well at breakfast, and snack. least i drank 8 bottle of water.
But today is a different day, and i swear that noone can take me off the way.
i plan to go to a bookstore at noon, then i got some cooking to do, and at the evening i will have a nice walk. And guess what! I started to jurnal again, and i did my 8 minuts work out this morning. I havn't done it since i started JC. I went out to JC web site, and he talked about be today! Ok, it was not me, but almost. he was talking about emotions, heart breaks, when someone left you and you feel unloved, and alone. Well i can relate to that.

So today with new attitude, and redady to start the webaton with Jessica, i looking forward to this 3 months, i know i might fall ocasionaly, but least i got back my motivation again.
I have read 3 of JC's book, the one for extra-easy weight loss, and the real shape for real sizes, and now the 3hours, and i see slight difference in the manu plan, in the real shapes he gives only (1 cup of milk for breakfast, and 1/2cup cereal, and 1/2 grapefruit, and 12 almond,) that's not 3oz of protein, and about the 12 almond? it's fat. SO i was kind of confused about the protein intake we should have.
So what do you girls thinks? Wich one to falow? I was wondering all this girls like Maria who lost 150lb, or the Mondy or something who lost over 100 lb, which one do they use?
Come on girsl give me some answers. I would like to know youre oppinioin on this.

Laurie darling what happened with your whip? Did you lost it?

Teri hugs and kisses to you, and i pray for you!

And Jessica: Go girl go!

Thanks for listening girls.

ok had to share this- i went to thecouponmom.com and compared coupons and what was on sale at the stores. then cut coupons and wrote a list of what to buy. the original bill was 185.00. i saved about 60 on buying sale stuff and 55 with coupons. my total bill was $70. i bought some 10 hair stuff i didn't have to and a couple of things that wern't on sale that i like. i could have saved another 20 really. pretty cool huh?

af came to visit but my weight is sts which is great, but i get low back aches when she visits, anyone else get back aches?

a neighbor had cancer then beat it about 10 years ago (she's 38) well then she had 3 girls (8-6-2) and now she has cancer back again. she has to have chemo every week. i feel so bad for her, once is bad enough but twice!

have a great tuesday evryone!

Tracy: Sure I can have banana bread on this plan. Nothing is off limits. But that can be a trigger for me. So I put it in the freezer and I will serve it next Monday at a jewelry party I am having. That chocolate cookie pizza thing is all gone - and not by me! My 2 DD and their friends ate it after lunch. I am so glad it is out of here! 3 to 5 pm are my worse hours for cheating!!!!

Laurie: Consider yesterday erased! Pretends it Groundhog's Day and you are reruning your day again. I hope you saw the movie, Groundhog Day, and know what I'm talking about!!!

Lynn: Good luck with your CT scan results. Your fall vacation sounds lovely. Hope all goes well with trying to do without an aide today.

Julianna: You've got a new attitude girl! Good for you. We're here to help you and support you.

Shannon: Just wondering what "af" stood for? Wow on all your coupon savings. I am impressed.

Check with you all later.

Hi everyone,

I am a bit late today. Quite busy here at work. I did my 8mm and my cardio yesterday! I finally bought a pedometer. Has anyone else used one? It is so cool. It counts your steps and distance and calories while you walk. It turned out that I walked about 2 miles (in 50 minutes) I guess I am kinda slow but there are some major hills to go up. I burned 225 calories. So, I think the stairmaster is more efficient for me. I tend to burn about 220-240 calories in a half hour. I will vary both workouts.

Have a great day!!

I completely understand! I am the same way. Between 3 and 6 is very hard for me!! So I am trying to make sure that I have a snack during that time now.
