Cool

Just checking in!! Sitting here waiting on Tropical Storm Katrina which is to hit Ft. Lauderdale 1 1/2 hrs. south of here. Probably will be a Hurricane by tonight.....we will be on the northern edge and only get about 45 mile/hr winds and about 8" of rain.

Since my town was directly hit by 2 hurricanes last year this does make everyone quite nervous. My dh brought home lots of snacky food (to tide him over) so now I just need to keep my hands out of it and not be picking at it the next couple of days.

I sneaked a peek at the scales and STS but I had lunch and dinner out yesterday and really blew it.....so I will TRY to be good the rest of the week!

Nice to see all the new members but sure am missing some of the orginal group.

Phyllis

I have a confession! And a YAY! For the first time since I started JC (beginning of June) I did the 8MM this morning! Of all days to start, I pick hams and quads Felt awesome OH WAIT......... then.......I got on the elliptical trainer for 20 minutes! HA! And all before beakfst which was by the way a Luna bar, a glass of milk and a piece of cheese with my supergreens. TOM arrived this morning so I don't expect much on Sunday but I will just look forward to the 5 lb loss next week
Not much happening today, need to get alfalfa & feed for the critters later, and my house is a mess (always is~doesn't mean I'll clean it )

Hi Everyone,

Phyllis, keep your head down & let us know when Katrina has left your town. Hi Everyone. Today is the first day in months and months that Donald and I went out without an aid. I was able to get him in and out of car OK. We couldn't take the wheelchair (I can't lift it into the car), so he had to stay in car when I ran into the drug store and the food store.

I'm looking into getting him a motorized wheelchair and a lift so we can carry it on the back of the car. I just ordered him a cell phone (actually made for kids) that has only 4 or 5 buttons - no numbers; this way, I could go downstairs and exercise & he could call me if he needs me. Little by little, we are figuring out how to make our lives more manageable.

Check you later,

Lynn
