on friday i have to take my fosomax and i can't eat or drink for 30 mins after. then i have to take my thyroid medicine and can't eat for 30 mins thereafter. so it ends up being almost 9am till i can eat. now since you can't eat 3 hours before bed, that gives me 10 hours to schedule my meals. that would mean:
B-9
s-11:30
L-2
s-4:30
d-7
bed 10
can i space meals 2.5 hours on fridays and be ok or shuld i skip a snack.
Who says you can't eat 3 hours before bed? There is NO scientific basis for that rule, it has NOTHING to do with weight loss as long as you are not going over your calorie allottment for the day.
If you still don't want to eat past 7, though, you can either eat every 2.5 hours, or bunch up your food a little more. As long as you are eating enough/not too many calories and you're not going MORE than 4 hours without food, you're fine.
I sometimes eat something sitting in bed watching TV at 1030 or 1100. Doesn't make any difference to me.
Try it this way, according to what JC is saying this should be allowed:
B-9
s-12pm snack
L-3pm lunch
s-6pm dinner AND your snack
bed 10
I agree w/ Laurie your body slows down during evening hours and feeding it will only let it "sit" in tummy all night- yuckies.
Eating 3 hours before bed is a good rule of thumb- no not mandatory I sometimes eat before bed. But for BEST results stay away from the food 3 hours prior. IT truely does make a diffenernce on that metabolism!
