Thursday Morning

  • Good morning everyone!

I just wanted to get us started. Last night, future brother in law (FBIL) and his fiance came over around 9:00pm (which is normally my bed time!). He owns a landscaping/trucking company and has worked outside since he was 12, you would think he would know how to take care of himself in this heat, right? Well, he hadn't eaten anything all day and only drank coffee and he was working on his house all day yesterday in 97 degree temps (index higher with the humidity). He was walking through the gate to go in his back yard and that was the last thing he remembers. He woke up later in his yard with blood all over his head. Basically, he passed out and when he fell he smashed his head on a rock. He didn't look too good last night, but told his fiance she might want to keep an eye on him. Do men every use common sense? just kidding....I am worried about him!

Anyway....today is going to be another busy day at work with us being short staffed and tons of meetings. Tonight, DF and I have our refinancing closing and meeting with the woman who will be customizing our ceremony.

Thanks for listening to me ramble!
  • OK I know I have been away for a few days, but isnt' today Wednesday?!? LOL!

Common sense and men just DON'T go together! LOL! Hope he gets to feeling better soon!

We have been busy too, between Keilyn and her sinus infection and spending 5 nights a week at the football field, trying to catch up on house work and errands it has been pretty hectic!

Hope everyone is doing well. We have another busy day ahead of us too, thank heavens Keilyn is going to grandma's today, I have tons to do before football practice tonight!

    Have a great day everyone
  • Whoops! Can you tell my week is all messed up. I was probably wishing it was Thursday!

    Sorry about that!
  • Laurie, I hope Keilyn feels better soon! -btw, I love that name!
  • Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday!
Tina-I hope you brother gets feeling better real soon..that is so scary. I had a friend who passed out at my old work and hit her head on the floor. I won't tell you all of the details, but she had a very rough time after it. Tell him to take care of himself.

Laurie-Sounds like Keilyn is feeling better...glad you are going to get a break today to get some stuff done.

Hope everyone has a wonderful on plan day. Yesterday was good for me and I did 45 min of cardio...today is weights and cardio...need to stay on track with food..and drink a lot of water. Peaked on scale and was the same as Sunday-hope to be down at least 1 lb by Sunday.

    Have a great day!!
  • Whew..thought I missed a day!

Not much news in sunny HOT Florida. I am finally going to work today for a couple of hours after almost a month. Actually I am really happy about it.

Ok, I peeked at the scales , I know, I know. Down 1/2, now I keep playing around with that so I am going to work really hard to get rid of that for good and move on down the scales at last. Sticking to plan really well so far this week.

    Got to run....have a good one....Phyllis
  • Good Morning LL'rs:

I had an almost perfect day yesterday. Timing was off - ate dinner almost 5 hours after snack and went to bed before 3 hours after dinner. Played golf last night and we didn't finish up until 7:45 pm and then the service was slow at the restaurant. I don't think I started eating until almost 9 pm. (but did eat an OP meal). Someone ordered an appetizer so that stretched things out time wise. Oh well, that's life. Now in the first 3 months of following this plan, I would have packed dinner to make sure I ate on time! Oh and I did have 1 Coors Lite Beer!

I've been super busy getting ready for vacation to the beach. Lots to do for that. Today I'm doing laundry and trying to pack what I can. In addition I still have to bathe and groom my dog who will be staying with my sister. I want him to be a pleasant smelling house guest for her! They want to get a dog so they want to pet sit my dog to see how they like this breed (Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier). It's between a Wheaten and a Shiz Tszu. Her husband has pet allergies so they need a dog who is hypoallergic (if there is such a thing).

I already missed my snack today on time. I set my alarm watch and it went off but then I got distracted doing things and didn't remember until an hour later! I hate when that happens.

Have a great day cruising OP!
  • Karen - poodles are hypoallergenic. Although I think they feel funny. Poodles also dont shed a thing. Do that is cool and they could get a doll, a miniture, or regular size.

My little sis goes home today - wont see her again till Christmas - But im okay with that - it happens every yesr. Just a little sad to see her go when she is so good with the children.

I am planning on starting exercise again. I need to sit down a schedule a time in my day.

    Otherwise same old- same old.
