Godo Morning Everyone:

Wow, it's 9:30 am and no one started a new thread for today! Is everyone really taking literally "those lazy hazy days of sommer"????

Becca: Where are you? You are such an inspiration to us. Please post and let us know how you are. You are doing great on your weight release - 29 pounds released! Way to go! And you quit smoking recently too! You are very inspiring to us. Keep up your efforts. You are doing so great.

How is everyone else doing? I like our new NSV thread. It really helps to have those victories when the scale is not very nice. It is a journey about getting healthy for life.

How are the 2 year old daughters of Laurie and Libby doing with their sinus infections. Seems like there is a lot of that going around right now. I know several adults struggling with it and they are miserable so I can't imagine how these little people must be feeling.

I am happy to report that I am down another 1-1/2 pounds today. Yes, I peeked - I couldn't help it!!! So my 4 pound gain at weigh-in looks to be only a 1/2 pound gain - that makes more sense to me. It's just amazing what restaurant food can do for one's water retention and scale results. I'm busy getting ready for vacation on Friday. You know how that is - lots to get ready.

Have a great day crusing.

Thanks Karen for starting the thread this morning. Libby seems to be doing better this morning with her nose...just a really bad cough now. Hopefully she is going to get over this without an antibiotic this go-around. Congrats on your loss...I agree...it is so amazing how restaurant food-even if you eat well-can kill ya on the sodium...which in turn makes us gain. I didn't get in all my water yesterday but had a good food day and I was up 2.5 lbs this morning. Water is a must for me..that's for sure!!

Where are you going on Vacation??

On the suggestion of Karen I am re-reading parts of JC's book. There is so much info in there....I guess we could read it 3 times and still miss tips. My brain at least can't absorb it all.....

I usually have blood sugar drops in the a.m. and afternoon but on JC plan I don't have them anymore....that has to be much better on my body. And I notice that I am not "starving" at the afternoon snack time like I would normally be.

So the weight isn't dropping off yet but today I did 8mm and will try a few minutes on the treadmill as it is too hot to walk here. I think exercise is a key for me and yes, also the water which I did not get all in yesterday either.

This WILL be a good month, I feel it.........

Hi everyone,

Just want to say hi. I am still plugging away. After a bad weekend I am still the same weight (PHEW)!!!

I did the Stairmaster for 1/2 hours yesterday! Boy is that a workout!!!! But it only burned 240 calories!!! Better than nothing and it is good for ya!

I am going to try to reincorporate weight training with my cardio now. I am trying to figure out the best way to work it with my schedule....

Anyway, bla, bla, bla...have a great day!

Hello everyone - great day for me. I got my drain tubes out!!! yea!!! I have to see oncologist tomorrow at 2:30 pm to find out what my chemo schedule is going to be like!! Also, I am going back to work (from 9 am to 1 pm) starting tomorrow. Hopefully, now I can get back on track with my water and eating. I do so much better with a schedule and for some reason, work helps keep me on plan.

hi all! So glad to hear how you all are doing. Worried about Laurie and the baby. hope they are okay. Has anyone heard from Barbara or Allison lately? summer does seem quiet. Even for me!

Here's my update: I have has my 12 year old sister here since last Friday and my DH Best Friend is going through a divorce. And he is raising his siter who is 11. And with his divorce he can't raise her by himself. So guess who gets her? Yep! Its me. So I have a 12 year old acting like a teen, a 11 year old who wants to act like the 12 yr old, a 6 yr old son who gets left out (although his aunt puts the 11 yr old in place when ever that happens - which is good) and a 1 yr old - whose diaper is changed within minutes of her making a mess in it. Those girls dont realize when they are older changing diapers isnt fun anymore! LOL! But hey Im definatly taking advantage of the situation. And I no longer need a babysitter while I work at home - I now have free labor! He He He He. Im sad though my sister ( the 12 yr old) is going home tomorrow and I'll have to entertain the 11 yr old for the first time. She'd mopping the kitchen now. See I told you free labor! Actually shes being punished for telling the 12 year old about the ghost down the street and other things that were suppossed to be not told. So I really dont feel too bad. So if you all were wondering what I was up to or where Ive been hiding - Ive been dealing with PRE TEENS!!! Whew Not Pretty! And I can WAIT for my baby go grow up! I could wait an eternity before I deal with that!
