Default Eating Chinese food

I could have used this last night!!!!

Chinese food... it must be healthy restaurant or fast food fare, right? After all, studies show that the rates of cancers, heart disease, obesity, and diabetes are much lower in China than in the United States. So I should eat all kinds of Chinese food, right? Not necessarily. What Americans eat in Chinese restaurants is not the same nutritious diet enjoyed in China. The Chinese diet is based heavily on healthy grains, veggies, fruits, and legumes. But Chinese food in America is usually oily, fried, and includes fewer veggies and more fatty meats. How can you make healthier choices at a Chinese restaurant? Choose dishes that are based on vegetables, seafood or poultry, rather than fatty, calorie-laden red meats. Avoid anything crispy (which means DEEP FRIED) and opt for steamed, braised, or stir-fried foods. Add a side of steamed vegetables for a more filling meal. Steamed rice is healthier than fried rice, which is loaded with butter and eggs. Transfer foods to your bowl with chopsticks rather than a spoon to minimize eating the heavy sauces. Ask the chef to use fewer nuts on your dish, or to serve fried noodles on the side. Don't be deprived of a tasty Chinese meal! Just choose wisely
