Question Green Tea Question

Is anyone drinking it? Is it helping you?

I have been reading a lot about it lately and I think I will start adding it when I get off the pain meds....

Drinking it plain is not very tasty, I know to add some sweetner and lemon and that it is not bad cold.

Just asking for your thoughts. I asked it on the JC site too, if I get any good pointers I'll pass them along but it is very quiet on the LL board there since the move here.

Thanks Phyllis

I like green tea - comes in various flavors. However, I tend to get cramps when I drink it.

I drink it regularly. And not saying this is why but when I drink it regularly, I seem to lose regularly and stay full between meals. Walmart and other grocery stores saile a gallon jug of green tea by Arizona, they have a diet kind that has 0 calories, 0 fat...etc....and even my son loves it. IMO it really helps. Becky use to drink it when she was 100% on plan too.

I have a cup every morning instead of coffee. Keeps away the caffiene headache. I've tried green tea w/ lemon, and w/ raspberry.

I drink green tea, as well as other herbal teas of many varieties not for weight loss, but because I enjoy them, and because of all of the healthy antioxidant qualities in them.
I have not noticed any change as far as weight loss is concerned-or any effect that it might have on that account though.
I do know, that brewing the tea yourself is much better, and you get more of the health benefits than buying tea from the store that is already brewed.

Not to mention it tastes better and is a heckuva lot cheaper

There have been several threads about Green Tea at the Does It Work forum - here's one for example - some good info in there.

Personally, I don't think there's anything WRONG with green tea, but the weight loss effects IMO are WAY overrated, if they exist at all - at the most it's probably the diuretic effects which is just water loss anyway.

I think it is really great, I drink it whenever I am feeling empty or tired at work and I always feel a LOT better. I use Green Tea with Jasmine which is a really great flavor.
