Oh no! You cheated on your diet - big time! Maybe one bite of cake led to another and another, and the next thing you know, you've swallowed the equivalent of what you'd normally eat in a couple of days. Don't beat yourself up about it. You must have the generosity and wisdom to forgive yourself. The biggest mistake people trying to lose weight make is that they don't accept their mistake, which leads them to chuck the whole thing, disregarding past successes and throwing aside future victories. Have you ever cheated and thought, "Well now that I have screwed up, I might as well just quit?" Setbacks aren't the end of a weight-loss effort, they are a part of the process and your ability to change for the better is only enhanced by experiences - both good and bad. You must learn from your mistakes and adjust for future success. How can you learn from a lapse? Write about the situation in your journal. What were you feeling when you were eating? What did you eat? Did you really taste the food? Study it. Talk about it with your buddy team. Figure out what went wrong and how to avoid letting it happen again. Learning from your mistakes will help you understand how to "have your cake, and eat it too"!
Your coach,

I am going to take that advice. So here I am writing in my journal to you guys
. I confess, I am a junkaholic
. If the food is there - I will come!!! But, today is a new day
. I am getting back OP and taking my life back. I've got the power to choose and I choose to eat better. For breakfast I had 1/2 banana
, 1/2 cup oatmeal w/skim milk, 1 cheese stick, 6 oz milk and coffee
. Oh well, Rome wasn't built in a day!!
