Not a new story

Like all you gals I've tried every diet. Last one was Atkins I was doing OK losing a pound or so a week but I wanted something that didn't have so much make believe food.. some of that stuff is awful . So I found Jorge while I was on Amazon & decided that was what I wanted. I found 8MM on Alirbris so I got that one as well. Started 3 days ago going good so far. As you can discern from my surfin I like to read. I am A Canadian But up to # years ago I lived in the USof A for almost 10 years. So I'm kind of a hybrid. Gradually getting back to my roots. I am retired, widowed & learning a new life on my own. So far so good. I have lurked in the long grass for a while but finally felt motivated to join in .

Intro

Hi my name is Kristy and I am 34 years old. I have been overweight just about my whole entire life. I have been married for 9 years and have 3 children boy 11, boy 6, and girl 2! I am a SAHM and live away from all of my friends and family! I am an emotional eater (doesn't matter which emotion I am feeling I eat). I just want to have a "normal" relationship with food, eat when I am hungry and stop before I feel full. I want to eat chocolate cake because I crave a piece of cake and not because it is there. I don't want all of my plans to revolve around food and I don't want to be a prisoner of my mind and body anymore. I have had 3 c sections and every time I have lost a significant amount of weight I have gotten pregnant and then gained it all back plus. I am not having anymore children so this time I want to lose it for good! I have done Atkins, WW, South Beach, Phen Phen, Redux, Larry North, part of the 6 WBMO, and who knows what else. I like to walk and do the Leslie Sansone Tapes.... I saw the Jorge Cruise 3 hour diet book in the store and saw something about it online and decided what the heck I will give it a try. I haven't finished the book yet but it sure sounds like something that I can do.
So that is me in a nutshell. I am sure that I will have lots of questions for all of you and I look forward to meeting you all and learning from you all.
Kristy :D

Nice to meet you Kristy, I am from Louisville, KY but now live in Florida.

Read some of the threads up here in this section, some good info about the diet. Just start getting a 3 hr. schedule, drink and drink more water, exercise if you can.

You'll get the hang of it, it's not hard.

Welcome and good luck on the challenge, glad to have you aboard. Phyllis

Hi Kristy,

It's nice to meet you. So much of what you write resonates with me. Especially, "I just want to have a "normal" relationship with food, eat when I am hungry and stop before I feel full."

Here's hoping we all get to that point.

Hi everyone
I just ordered the "3 hour diet" book and the "8 minute in the morning book I am ready to go when they come in. Does anyone follow the plan on either one? If so how well has it worked for you? I have been a yoyo dieter tried it all and even diet pills that promise you everything wonderful and then had the letdown because nothing worked or I gave up to soon. This plan looks like something I can stick with and with me being diabetic it will help that too.
Hope to get some good info and encouragement from all of you
Rose

Welcome Rose! The 3 HOur Diet is part of the 8 Minutes in the morning book. It also includes the 8 Minute Moves. Once you read the book, it will become clearer.

This is a great program that is not restrictive at all! What other diet lets you eat chocolate and lose weight??

We look forward to getting to know you!

Hey All,
I bought the 3-hour book and the 8 mm kit last week and got started over the
weekend. I really like the way it sounds. I have great hopes! I've never liked the
low carb because I know it's not healthy and seen too many people lose alot just to
gain it all back and more. I believe this is a lifestyle I can live with. And I really need
a healthy lifestyle I can live with. So I got on the web in search of a support group
for this program and here you are. I would love to be a part of your group.
A little about me. I'm 45 and married to my highschool sweetheart now soon to be
28 yrs. (where did the time go?) I have one son named Derek, he's 23. and I have
3 dogs,2 prairie dogs, and 1 rabbit. My husband calls me Elliemae. I am an animal lover,
what can I say? I'm a housewife so I'm home most of the time. I look forward to
getting to know all of you. I know you have a challenge going, should I join in or is it
too late?
Everyone have a great day!
Rivergal
