Default Hi Ladies!

I wanted to come by an introduce myself properly to you all-my name is Aphil, and I moderate the General Diet Plans section and its subforums. (as well as the Support section of the forum.)

Since the Jorge Cruise section of the forum is brand new, and we didn't have one before, I am going to try and clean up Jorge topics/threads out of the Support and General Diet Plans section and direct them up here. Since we didn't have a place specifically for Jorge followers before, they were usually posted down in the regular General Diet Plans section, and here and there throughout the forum. So...I'll try to either direct the posters here, or move some of the threads from the other places over here.

I also wanted to let you guys know that you are able to use private messaging here at 3FC. To receive a private message that has been sent to you, you have a purple link up on the top right of the screen where it has your username and log on info. You can send a private message to someone by clicking on their username in a thread that they have posted in, or by going to your private messages area (link on top right of screen) and typing in their exact username) Be careful that you type it in correctly though...we have a lot of similar usernames here!
This is a great feature, and that way if you want to comment to a specific person here, you don't have to start an entire thread on the forum just to say something to that particular individual.
Also-if anyone needs anything over here, just let me know. I can merge threads together if you would like, and so forth. Sometimes this helps if 4 people have all started a thread about the same thing.

Good luck,
Aphil

Okay, I was asking because there are some threads titled with a specific user name, directed towards an individual. Just wanting to make sure everyone knew how to use it.

We have some ladies going to through some rough times right now and we like to send them well wishes, thoughts as a group and all, kinda lets them get that *group hug* feeling. hehehehehe! Thanks for updating us though on moving the other threads over! We look forward to getting to know lots more folks following the JC plan!

Hi Kaycee-
My username is pronounced "Aye-Fill", but feel free to call me Amy.

Hi Lynn-
I am a calorie counter. I eat a reduced calorie diet, but not TOO low, because of my exercise regime. I also try to eat organic produce when possible, lean meat, poultry, and fish-and when possible I choose to buy from companies with better practices, such as those who do not use antibiotics and growth hormones in their animals, and eggs that come from free range chickens, and so forth.
I also eat a semi-vegetarian diet, which means I do not eat meat a couple of days a week. I choose whole grains over refined carbohydrates, and I cut out sugar when I can, like buying natural peanut butter instead of sweetened. I also choose heart healthier oils like olive and canola.
My workout regime varies a lot. I am a dancer in a professional performing company (Middle Eastern and belly dance) and I dance anywhere from 3-10 hours per week, depending on that week's schedule. My other cardio is powerwalking, and jogging...and I also practice yoga, and strength train religiously 3 days a week.
