Default Sick of being a fat housewife in Ohio....

Hello to All,
I am in my early thirties and at least 30 pounds overweight. I have four children, and have gained most of my weight in the past 3 years. I turned 30 and got fat. Now I am ready to lose all this extra padding and find myself again. I know that I will never be 20 years old or 106 pounds again, but I would love to at least be at a more healthy weight. I am going for 130, I am 157 now. Being a stay at home mom has really isolated me and I know I need some support to reach my goal.

Welcome Jen!!
I just joined recently myself. This is a very helpful, informative, supportive, inspiring place.

I'm sure you've looked around a bit.

I really love seeing the before and after posts and pictures. So much inspiration!

Hi and welcome. Why don't you drop in to the Featherweights? Introduce yourself in the Welcome thread and then come on to the Tea Room and let us get to know ya.

Good for you that you're ready to start. But be less hard on yourself (I should REALLY start following my own advice!), it is nearly impossible to get all that baby weight off, more showing up with each lovely little one. Then chasing THREE kids around all day? Of course you had trouble getting that weight off. The main thing would be to find some way of doing some HARDCORE exercise (which you will build up to over the next few months) at least 4 or more times per week. Can grandma babysit so you can go to the gym (hubby will find this money very well spent, I'm sure)? Or perhaps some exercise DVDs? Anyway, best of luck to you.
