Default Back again and not sure where I fit in.

Well I am back. I have lost 30 pds and have managed to keep it off. Now I am back from vacation and the summer and need to work on the other 30 pds.

I am not sure what group I fit into as I am 40 and there didn't seem to be a 40's something group and since I am not following any plan I don't belong there either

So this is me 40 years old will be 41 in Feb and I swore I would never be fat and 40 but I am so now I am aiming for not fat at 41.

I am not doing any plan as they have never worked for me in the past. The minute you tell me I can't have something I want it. SO the way I got off my first 30 pds was better food choices, smaller portions and lots of walking. I am going to do all that and add some weight training.

Anyone looking for buddies???

Awwww..That's how I felt when I came here too, then I got steered toward Pic's (Partners in Crime). It is a great place too. No specific programs, but lots of love and support, and once inna while a swift kick in the rear

Hi there,

I became a member today and looking through the intros can see that we have similar goals. I'm 39 for six more months and have about 40 to loose.
I have been a hockey mom for years and I'm the mother of three teenagers.
I'm going to be following the glycemic diet loosely. Like you I also can't stick to a regimented diet but will be making smart choices as much as possible and try to get as active as possible.

Hi everyone,
I have never posted on a discussion board before but I have been struggling with my weight and thought maybe this might help. I hope to make some friends to support and to help support me.

Kim, NC, and DV

I will be 40 in February. I had lost about 30 pounds a couple of years ago with the help from 3FC, then I got preggo with my third child last year and gained over 60 lbs. He will be one year old next week, and I have weaned him, so now it is time for me to get serious. I don't know where to get started since I haven't been on here for so long. I have about 27 lbs or so to get back to my pre-preg weight and another 15 to get to my ideal weight after that. (if I break it up, it sounds better ). Anyway, it has been a gruelling year for me because the baby was born with a condition that required us to have 3 surgeries on his little skull in the past six months. He is doing fine now and will have no lasting effects from it. I am a stress eater, so it has been impossible for me to even try to lose up until now. I also have an 11 year old, and a 10 year old, so my time is limited. I am not following any particular plan either, just journaling what I eat, and walking and doing some toning exercises. I have been at it for almost 2 weeks and have lost 5 lbs.
Let me know where you all jump in at, and I will join you.
