ALL my friends are skinny.

  • Hi there, I'm new and hoping to chat and get/ give support to anyone who struggles with their weight. I have since I was a child. I have some good friends but I don't feel they truly understand. Trying not to get too low at this point. Many thanks and a big hello to you all.
  • HELLO!

Welcome to 3FC, there's TONS of great support on this board, from UK chicks to ladies who lift, ladies who south beach, general exercise boards, weight watchers - everything a lucky lady could possibly want!

We're so glad you found us
  • Cheers from an ex Londoner! I need some motivation, after shedding 4 and a half stone, at times of stress i feel my bad habits coming back. Thanks for such a warm welcome.
  • Thanks Rockinrobin, and congratulations on your weight loss. I've worked really hard and I don't want it to all be for nothing, if having a quick chat or a bit of advice that stops me reaching for the dreaded biscuit tin. I'll mean the world to me.
  • OMG Step AWAY from the biscuit tin!!!! That's my complete weakness too. I can't open a packet without finishing them, never mind getting them into a TIN! Now I just don't buy biscuits, easy solution!
  • LOL, I try not to buy them!!!

BTW i meant to say "it'll mean the world to me" in the last post not "i'll mean the world to me" I tried to edit it!

Seriously a couple of years ago I'd go to the fridge for some milk and end up eating the entire contents. Just like that. Then have dinner.
  • I know how you feel. I've put on a good 4st (60lbs-ish) in the past 7 years and it really bugs me. All my friends are size 10 and everything we do seems to be centered around eating or drinking.
  • Hi Poison Ivy,
Tell your friends you're trying to shift some pounds, and you need to meet up for something other than a meal. It is frustrating when people seem to be able to do what they like and stay a size 10, but scratch deep enough and they probably are more active etc, it took me a while to face up to that.
    Good Luck!
