Default I'm in need of HELP!!!!!!

Hello Everyone, I'm new here. I am in need of some support. I have been trying to lose weight and just can't keep motivated. My family is supportive but I can't seem to stay on track.I lose weight and turn around and gain it all back and then some. I thought about having the LapBand done but my insurance company won't cover it and I just can't afford it out of pocket. So, I found this site and thought someone here could help me. I know all the right foods to eat and all about exercising but just need help.I weigh 300 lbs and am 5'4" short. My BMI is 52 WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Way too high. I am in great health just a few aches and pains in my lower back and feet. Normal for carrying around all this weight. Anyway, I will appreciate all the help and support. Thanks for listening

You've come to the right place. Everyone here is very helpful. I just started posting.

Here is my advice. Look at before and after pictures in the gallery. Post your success i.e. I went to the party and still managed to eat the right way. If you know you are going somewhere that will tempt you put your concerns in writing and post them on the website before you go. That way you know that people who read it will want to know how you survived the next day. You will be lest likely to cheat at a social gathering if you know that you are accountable to your fellow buddies on 3 fat chicks. That all for now

Be Blessed

You can do it! I have been right where you are...knowing what to do, but lacking the motivation to do it. I believe that when you are really ready and when you really want to do it, you will. I was in the 260's for a couple of years before I finally decided this was going to be the year to lose this weight. I had some set backs over the summer because I was stressed while building a house, but I have still managed to lose 38 pounds this year. I joined Weight Watchers 7 weeks ago and that really helped. You can see my progress pictures at www.2006weightlossfix.blogspot.com

If you need a buddy or someone to talk to, let me know...

Thumbs up Thank YOU

Melody, Thank you. I know now that I'm not the only one out there that can't stay motivated. Weight watchers sounds like a group I should try. My step mom used to go and liked it alot. I also am a member if Curves. Last week was a bad week for me. If it could go wrong, it did. So no visits to the gym last week. Thia week WILL be better. I would like it if we could be buddies.

Hi, it's great to have you here, I think you will really like it here, it's full of advice, encouragement and support. I can definitely relate to you. You see I WAS approved for lap band surgery, went through the whole long process, all the doctors and so on and so on and started my 1000 calorie a day/liquid diet and....... then I cancelled it, 1 week prior to my surgery date. I decided that I owe it to myself and my family to give this a go on my own and you know what - I CAN do it on my own and so can you. I am soooo happy that I cancelled my surgery. The first 2-3 weeks are the hardest and then it really gets so much easier. If there's anything at all I can help you with please, please let me know, I would love to be of help to you in any way that I can. Hope to hear from you soon.

Welcome to you!! You can lose the weight, but sometimes you have to kick yourself and get at it even if your motivation isn't very strong. Once you start seeing real results it will get easier. It did for me even though I still struggle daily. Good luck to you! I'm here if you need to talk.

Default you can do it!

I just started losing weight, and I have found working with my friend has helped this time around. We check up on each other every week. We have a weekly weigh in day and we talk every day. She tells me what she ate and I tell her what I ate. If we here something we like we swap recipes. It is working really well! We are doing weight watchers, without paying for the meetings because we use each other instead. You just have to realize how wonderful you will feel after you start losing weight. Hang in there you will succeed!
