new girl from WI

  • Hi I am brand new to forums but not to weight loss. I am in my early 30s and happily married. In fact, both of us are trying to lose weight.
We want to start the adoption process soon and neither one of us want to be overweight parents.
I have a stressful job and not as many friends as I did in college. So basically I have little support.
I want to lose roughly 100 pounds and I have tried many diet plans and have failed. Basically it seems I have zero willpower.
And yet, this time it feels different and I really really want to succeed. I know I can do it if I just try. I have joined a gym, I love to work out and usually have lots of energy I just love to eat, too.
  • Hi there! You can do this, and what great motivation! Kids take energy and losing weight will help a lot! Check out the different areas on here, and perhaps you can find a diet that suits you and will be one you can stick with. I follow Sugarbusters...since I am off sugar now, I find I have MUCH more will power, and don't feel so addicted to starches and sweets.

Going to a gym will be awesome for you! Once you workout, you don't want to undo all that good by eating junk!
