Smile Started lifestyle change yesterday!

Hi, I started my lifestyle change yesterday. I am 35, been married 10 years and have a beautiful daughter. I am married to a gorgeous man...beautiful kid, hot husband, fat wife. MMMMmmmm....yeah, doesn't go. My husband has ALWAYS been supportive of me. I am blessed, but now I want to be more. I want to feel free with lots of energy. Weighing 204# isn't easy. So, here's to my second day! One day at a time.

Welcome! That's how it starts. With a firm dedicated decision to make changes! Just think, next year you will be the hot wife! (Not that you aren't beautiful now..your hubby sees something!)

I should be at goal this Christmas (or shortly after) and all I can think of is this Christmas I will be buying THIN clothes. I can't wait. I made my decision last Christmas. Perfect timing.

Here are some pointers to help get you started.

1. Journal. On paper or electronically. There are FREE online food journals available that help count stuff for you. I love it.
2. Be aware of portions. Start measuring your foods now so you know what a serving really looks like.
3. Write down your obstacles/barriers to weight loss. Trouble shoot (or as us) for strategies on how to get around that. Remove or reduce as many barriers as you can.
4. Research and get interested in healthy foods. It's fun to have a new project and it'll will have lasting benefits.
5. Get in your head that this is a life long change.
6. Change one (or just a few) habits at a time, master them, then move on.
7. Aim for progress, not perfection.
8. Gather support (you are already here)
9. Confront your weaknesses but don't dwell too harshly when you fall down. We all do.
10. Treat this as a new hobby. I personally think all of this is FUN because I'm LEARNING and learning is fun. You will get frustrated. Refer back to 8.
11. Celebrate NSVs (Non scale victories). When you make a choice you would not have made in your old life, CELEBRATE! It is joyous.
