Unhappy Okay, trying this again....lol

Okey dokey, I posted for a buddy a couple of days ago, but got no responses....it's a junior high dance nightmare all over again...lol.

Actually, I was hoping to find someone near where I live, but didn't have much luck with that. I SHOULD have put that I would love to have online buddies too, because they can be just as good! So, if you want a bud, send me a private message, or just reply here. I have a lot of weight to lose (150+), and its going to be a long process, but hey, the more the merrier, right?

Hello and Welcome!

You'll find lots of online friends here at 3FC. Please browse around more and see what different threads we have. You may just find that perfect one or maybe find a few that you'll enjoy posting in, and who knows, you may find someone close to your home.

Glad to have you and welcome!!

good luck, I too am having no luck finding anyone near me out in Vegas. I just want someone to email me and ask "so, did you break a sweat today? Did you resist the urge to overeat today?" if i have to answer those questions everyday to someone else in the same boat i think it might be easier.

good luck, I'm sure you will find someone nearby. I'm available to chat and email at night.

I'm going to second what Marti said. Browse around and post some in any threads you'd like. I've collected up several online 'friends' without ever thinking I wanted a buddy
There are also accountability threads. You could have 5 or 6 people saying "Where is she today?"

Your comment about Junior High dance was hilarious. I love it.

So what type of diet are you working? Mine is calorie counting...doing okay...seems SO SLOW but when i think about it, i cant really complain. I am not from your area, chattanooga, tn. In my 30's, mom of 2 with lots of weight to lose. Unfortunately, i already lost most of it once, only to gain it back...but the first time i didnt lose it for me...this time is for me.

Ryanzgirl - Hi and welcome. Don't be sad that nobody replied to you, sometimes that happens but we are all here to support each other!

You should check out the support group 300+ and ready to try again, we have an ongoing discussion there. You can post messages in any forum you like of course but browse around and eventually you'll prob find a particular section you post in more than others.

Thanks for the encouragement everyone...its just that this place is so big, with so much going on...I never know when to just jump in...LOL.

Everyone seems so wonderful here...I am sure I will fit in somewhere.

I am going to try low carb again. A modified Atkins, if you will. I did it for four months last year and lost 40 lbs. Then I just big fat gained it all back (pun intended...lol). I am having such a hard time getting started, though. Right now I am kind of easing into it. I am changing some of my eating habits, like no breakfast, big dinners, snacking in the morning, afternoon, night, while watching TV, while doing laundry, while singing showtunes, well, pretty much non stop unless I am sleeping....LOL.

I am excited, I think this is going to be fun!!!

Hi! I'm not in PA, but I sure could use an online bud too. I also have a lot to lose so I'm in for the long haul. I have a lot of habits to change. I actually exercised for the first time in years yesterday LOL. Did it again today too. Baby steps! Also doing controlled carbs. Really just trying to eat healthy. And not all the time! Good luck! Be in touch, 'cause I could use the support, sister!

Hi Regina, and welcome! I would agree with others who have encouraged you to check out the place! I do understand it can seem pretty overwhelming... so let me invite you personally to a VERY special group -- the 300 Plus and Ready to Try Again group.... join us at

http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=124

to get started -- you might want to especially try one of the numbered threads... currently #967.

Talking

Thanks, Misti,

I actually put my bio in there first...because I am 300+, there were just so many threads with so many pages I was a little overwhelmed...lol.

Oh, and I was wondering who you were talking to when you said "Regina" and then I had to laugh, because I forgot about my name. My name is actually Julie, Regina Phalange is an alias that Phoebe on the TV show FRIENDS used alot, and I was going for "smarty pants" lol. I am a huge FRIENDS fan, and wanted to include that somewhere in my profile. LOL.

I will definitely stop by....

Stevi....

I will definitely be in touch with recipes....I created a lot of awesome ones last year. I make this KILLER alfredo sauce that is really low carb, and I had to find ways to use it without noodles...hence my Zucchini Lasagna and my Chicken Alfredo Casserole!!! LOL

TxTilly, I am all for it....I need as many buds as I can get....lol.
