Hi all! My name is Steph, and I am a 24 y.o. mommy. I am re-visiting this site..I planned on starting a weight loss journey last year after my son was born..but instead I got pregnant AGAIN. LOL.

So...here I go! I set my goal at 35 pounds lost..but who knows, I may go more or less depending on how I am looking/feeling.
I live in San Diego, but I am an Indiana native. My DH Mike is in the Navy, that is how I ended up here! I am a SAHM to two babies..right now they are 18 months (son, Ryder) and 4 months (daughter, Liberty). I was overweight before getting preggo the first time. Right now I am only 15 pounds above my pre-preggo weight..but I am physically way larger around the middle. I have GOT to do something about that.
My plan is to follow a regular healthy diet..no specific "insert name here" diet.. just my own plan. I am sticking to 1500/cal per day with 25% or less being from fat. I am trying to avoid all processed foods, and eating a lot of veggies and fruits and low fat meats (turkey breast, chicken breast). I also need to get more active. I am planning on getting a double stroller soon so I can haul the babies around up and down the hills in my neighborhood..that should be good exercise! I have also started doing some crunches regularly (100 in the morning/100 at night), and light hand weights.
I have battled being overweight since 2001. I gained 60 pounds in about 9 months that year (from a healthy 170 up to 230). I was on the "depo" shot..And I am fairly certain that messed with my body and helped in that massive gain because I didn't change my eating/activity habits in a way that should have caused that to happen. After that gain I managed to lose 30 lbs fairly quickly (3 months) through moderate activity increase and the eating plan that I am sticking to now. I made it down to 200 and was reasonably happy with that..but over the next year I put on 15 because I started slacking off and eating more crap foods with my hubby..
Anyhoooo.. that got to be a very long intro. Just wanted to say Hi basically, and that I will be around here and hope to get to know some of you!
