When my weight is up:
diabetes is uncontrolled,
shortness of breath,
heart palpitations,
arthritis is constantly painful (even with meds),
cholesterol is up.
When I keep to my meal plan and excercise:
blood sugar is right where it should be,
cholesterol is acceptable,
heart palpitations and chest pain disappear,
arthritis is only when the weather is bad.
That's not just what a book says happens; it's what actually happens to me. The couch is not our friend.
