Hi,


My name is Sarah! I am a 31 working mother. I have batteled my weight my whole life. I got up tp my highest of 350lbs after having my son 7 years ago. last year I decided enough was enough and I have changed my lifestyle which included giving up smokes. ha ha I have lost around 80lbs but still have 90 to go. I am looking foward to meeting you all. I have looked around the site and it has helped to inspire me further.

Sarah and Finn!!!

I've only been lurking on these boards for a few months and I think I'm addicted!

What are you two doing in terms of a weightloss plan? Counting calories? Working out?

I, myself, just cancelled my gym membership b/c DH and I just bought a new house, and unfortunately I wasn't utilizing my membership as often as I should. So I thought I'd save us a couple of bucks and took up walking instead. I've also been eating 3 good meals a day and 2 healty snacks (with the exception of this weekend, b/c I just blew it)

These boards are a wonderful source of support, and I look forward to hearing back from you both!

Hi Chanty

Sounds as if you are off to a great start. Congratulations on your weight loss.

No, I don't count calories, but I know pretty much what things are, and eat a lot of fruit and veggies with smaller portions of meat and chicken. I cook in a crockpot on weekends and have freezer meals.

I also do a lot of walking, and bought some smaller equipment for home such as Danskin workout balls, a "pole" to do stretches, etc.

Since you are into walking you might want to check out our Coast to Coast Challenge... a group of us are adding our miles together and walking from Hopedale MA to Seattle WA. We are currently in Ohio.

Hello Everyone...I'm a newbie here too. I'm really having a hard time trying to find where to post and how to do it ~ I'm not too good with the computer and this seems very confusing to me . If anyone could give me some tips, I would greatly appreciate it. Also, I'm 42 years old, and started having a weight problem 14 years ago, when I was diagnosed with a very underactive thyroid. I just started my new weightloss journey last week
4-5-6, and so far i've lost 3 pounds. I'm really looking forward to meeting all of you nice people, and any encouragement and motivation would be appreciated...
