Default Hi all- back again

I just want to jump in and say hello! I'm a newbie returning and ready to make a change! I' ve already contacted my gym and am planning on doing their "Jump Start" program to help me get going. I am sidelined for a couple of days with a back injury (who knew it could hurt so much) bu am thrilled to be beginning this journey.

A little about me- I'm a 37 yo Mom of two great kids (a 4yo dd and a 3yo ds) I work full-time as a fourth grade teacher and my dh is a detective (so not home much). I have about 40 lbs to lose and have been halfheartedly trying for awhile. But I'm ready to give it my all and would live a buddy (or two or three) to share this journey with. I'm mostly on the computer at night and would love to have a few people to discuss the everyday challenges of losing weight and of course, all of our succeses .

Anyway, please let me know if you want to buddy up!!

Have a great night-
Jean

Hello Jean, I'm Marion. I'd like to be your buddy. I have 20 pounds to lose and can use the company and support. I'm retired so I'm at home mostly, tho' I do volunteer work at the zoo as a Docent. I don't have any kids, but I do have 2 lively parrots and a dove. Do you have any special diet plan? I mostly use portion control and limit calories. Hope to hear from you soon. We can do this!!

Default I'll be your buddy

Hi Jean,
How are you? I am brand new to 3FC. I just discovered it. I have done WW off and on since 8-05. I started out at 176.8. I am down to 162.8. I would like to get down to 130.

I am 29. I have 4 year old twins, Evan and Emily. I am a HS Chemistry teacher. DH works in a factory in production.

I have started WW again. I do not exercise, but I know I need to. Are you ready to get started?

How can we trade e-mail addresses?

Hey all!
I'd love to have a regular network of people too...it'd be nice to track and support each other.
Let me introduce myself - I'm Fionnuala (or Finn), 24F and from and living in Ireland. I am doing ww @ home and to honest its going pretty well.
My main problem (of which there are many :-)) is that I'm veggie and tend to overcompensate my lack of meat by eating more bread. I have such savoury cravings its unreal!
For exercise I started doing swimming lessons each week and find it great that I am improving....my motivation is my brother lives in California and I plan to make full use of his pool in Sept when I visit!!! I am also doing yoga - I find it totally fantastic. Has anyone ever tried it?
talk to ya soon,
Finn.

Hi Finn, I'm also a vegetarian (very strict). I know what you mean about bread. It'll be good if we can get a network going here--it would be helpful. We'll see what happens. You can see my earlier message if you scroll up..... Marion

Hi Everyone,

I was also lurking around these boards back in January. I, too, definitely hope to get a nice support system going here.

I am 23 yrs. old and was just married in October. I work for a marketing firm and DH is an Account Manager for a Pneumatics company.

I've gained about 20 lbs since my wedding and another 20 lbs before that so I'm very ready to make this change. I've cut out junk food and have been eating better as well as walking everyday after work for 30-45 minutes. I am trying to ease myself back into a good exercise routine.

Anyway, I look forward to hearing from you, together we can all meet our goals!
