well, I'm new at this
So maybe a forum is the best way to do this :) I've been trying to lose weight for a long time - two years ago, I got down to 130, but then I had some problems and gained it all right back, plus 20 pounds. Oh, yay.
Anyway, I started walking, sometimes up to 8 miles a day, and I lost 10 pounds pretty quickly, but now I'm at a new job, 8 hours a day, and when I get home I'm so tired that I usually end up going out for dinner, which is already not good, but I go out for lunch, too. I should start taking lunch to work - healthy lunch. But we've got a fridge and a microwave, and I can't think of anything but sandwiches and soup. If someone would be my buddy, I think that would help. You know, yell at me until I do something, because otherwise, I'll just sit and whine about it. |
Always a Set Back
There seems to always be set backs, but at least you are up and at it again! I will be glad to be your buddy. I already have 2 buddies but I figure the more the better. I need all of the help I can get!;) Please email me and we can begin a joint venture to loose all of this unwanted fat immediately!

I'm not sure what programs either of you are on. I'm on Atkins (it will be 2 years April 13). So far I've lost 85 lbs. I'm still trying to lose the last 20 stubborn lbs...but, I'll get there:) Jennaelise, you mentioned not knowing what to take to work for lunch. I bring my lunch to work everyday, usually a salad with either tuna or grilled chicken. I've found the key is to have the foods prepared in advance. Makes it much easier. Hey Jerseygyrl, that is great! I tried atkins and could not do it, but I am on weight watchers and it works great! I lose something every week even if some weeks it is only .2 or .4 but hey I did not go up! So that is all that really matters. I am in Jersey also, North bergen area, where are you?
Jennaelise.. Do you have time to prepare something for you to bring to work for lunch?? Also I was wondering to if you are trying any program to help you? With weight watchers there are many options and I can help you out with things like that.. email me if you would like a buddy.. I just was weighted in this week and 3 more pounds gone!!! YAY!!
