So, I am new on here. I'm a 19/F whos 5'7 and currently 165 pounds, down from 170 and looking for a weight loss buddy. I want to be 129 again. I don't even remember being that weight One day I was 120, the next day I was 155, and then up to 170. Where did the time go? I want to be ready for swim-suit season! I need to lose weight because most of my family is severely obese and that puts me at high-risk. Well anyway.... STORY TIME: There is this carnival at the end of July in my hometown. I am away at college right now and I will not see a certain group of people until then. A portion of this certain group always made fun of me and treated me with absolutely no respect. It got so bad, that I changed schools. Now that I have emotionally healed through medication and regular visits to the psychologist, I am finally ready to change on the outside. I want to do this for me and I want to show the ones that brought me down, that they will not impact my life anymore. If I can make a significant dent in my goal, I would be so happy. It sounds sappy, I know, but I just want to be able to take a picture without having to angle my face a certain way.... lol I want to be able to stop wearing 5 layers of clothing in order to conceal my belly. (OCPD... isn't it great?) I want my stomach to be smaller than my hips, gotta love those "love handles". I want my body to represent who I feel inside. I think with enough determination, the right eating plan and lots of excercise, that it is possible. So, who's with me in fighting their war with fat?

hey.. I'm looking for a buddy too, and think we would be a good match. I am trying to lose about 10-20 lbs.. but mostly just tone up and get in shape. What you said at the end of your post about wanting your body to reflect who you are inside made a lot of sense. A few years ago I lost 65 lbs or so, and am still owrking on the emotional issues. I know I really need help with day to day stuff, and accountability. Being young, it's so easy to get caught up in going out, and junk food =) Maybe want to email back and forth, motivate each other?

Girl you're speaking to me! I'm in the same boat, I mean I use to be 140 wearing a size 8 on my Graduation Day. But couple years down the road I'm in my Second year about to go to my Third year of College and I"m wearing a size 12 I only buy stretch because its the most comfortable I have so many stretch jeans I have about 6 pair of stretch jeans.
