Default New to this site

Hi my name is Tiffani I am new to this site I was referred by a friend. I am very new to the whole dieting thing. I have about 30 lbs. to lose and I am not doing very well. My husband also started the diet with me and he is doing great. But me I always said if I were to get any bigger I would just stay that way because I am horriable at having self control. My weikness is cereal, any kind with a taste, I have a bowl and when I say bowl I mean (____________________) a bowl. I have one after all three meals a day. I am on here because I need help and support from others that are going threw or have gone threw the same as I am.

Default Welcome, Tiffany

We all know how hard it is to try to change our habits. What type of diet are you following? Do you still feel hungry after you have your meal? Why do you keep the cereal in the house? Is it for your kids? Maybe you can try to get them to eat something else for breakfast while you break the cereal habit. Also, you may want to plan your meals so you can have a little diet-friendly treat after each one.

You will find that after a while you will not miss having all that cereal.

PS--I looooove frosted mini-wheats, but they are not allowed in my house; at least not until I lose all the weight I need to lose.

I'm the one who just has a little more cereal because I have milk left in the bowl! My best approach has been to be very careful around carbs of any kind. If I have some, I want more. Oatmeal is a staple for me.

I know what you mean, cereal is always a good thing...which is a really bad thing..lol I think I have the same size bowl you do..lol I have had to just give it up, I can't even kid myself into thinking.."ok self..you can have just a little bit" ya right! I'd eat the whole box! Just be strong and hang tight, and remember how much better you will feel when you can "just say no" to the cereal ;-)
