Thumbs up Looking for a teenage whole grain-loving buddy.

Hey! My name's Janna, and I just turned 18 a couple weeks ago. For nearly three weeks now I've been on the Bread for Life diet. Not many people know about it, so if anyone out there is on this diet, speak up!! I absolutely love it. I always failed on other diets because I couldn't stand the carbohydrate deprivation. Now I eat lots of good carbs!

When I went to Japan as an exchange student in 2004, I lost about 30 lbs, and when I returned to the US I was down to 160. It felt great! Over the past couple years, and especially recently due to my battle with clinical depression and an anxiety disorder, I've gained some of that back. I was up to 180 after a month of laying in bed and eating junk food all the time. After three weeks I'm back down to 170 and so far things are great! My goal is to be down to 140 by July.

If there are any other teens out there looking to lose a few pounds, send me a message or something I'd love to chat. It's hard to find teens who are serious about dieting, and it's rough to be in high school and diet when you're surrounded by pizza, donuts, and pop on a daily basis.

Wish me luck! <3

Thanks Japan was great! I can't wait to go back next summer. I'm going to Germany next summer, too. After Japanese and German, I'd like to learn Russian next maybe. Good luck with that <3 Being an exchange student is such an awesome experience.

I'm actually volunteering. My mama went to Germany before I was born and she liked it.

Hey, even cooler! I have absolutely fallen in love with traveling. I can't get enough of it! ^_^ It's a healthy addiction, although it's kinda spendy. I'm good at saving money though.

I want to travel so bad! I just moved back home from california about two weeks ago. I was in california for four months. I had plans on going to Texas then to New Mexico but my family and friends are trippin. They don't want me to go to Russia but if I can save up the money, I'm going anyway!

It takes forever to explain... So I'll give you a link to my own lil' website and hope that it doesn't get removed! There are very few sites out there with info on it because it was just released in the US last fall so I figure I'm okay.

http://iheartcarbs.net - I really enjoyed designing this!

I felt sick when I tried a low carb diet. I couldn't stand it. I got depressed and felt really tired. This diet doesn't do that.
