Well here it goes... I am new, i just joined yesterday. I am really excited, i have just bought my gym membership this week and started working out on Monday. I am really glad that i have found this website and i am hoping that being a member here will help me to reach my goal. I really want to succeed this time.

I got on the treadmill on Tuesday and there just so happens to be a mirror behind the machine. i caught a glimpse of the big huge black thing jiggling around,and then i realized, that it was in fact, my big butt.
I have not weighed myself for a very long time. Imagine my surprise when i mustered up the courage to get on the scale today and it hit 246 lbs... i wanted to pick it up and throw it out the gym window. I was convinced it was lying and that someone had rigged it. But we all know the truth... it's not rigged.

So here i am, this time is going to be different. i can't ever let this happen to me again. I will eat healthy and try and exercise everyday...and hopefully with the support of others who really get it, because the have been there, i will do it!

You and I sound so similar to eachother. Just like you, I got on a scale and was convinced hat it was wrong. Well, after having to buy new pants because my "dryer shrunk them" I realized that I was only kidding myself. I was sick of being overweight, and the idea that I had gotten to 245 made me feel sick inside. I now want to take control of my life and have already lost 10 pounds by doing so. OMG you sound just like me! I joined Bally's when I was in California and they had mirrors everywhere too. I just looked at everyone else and refused to look at myself cause I knew it would totally mess with my determination and optimism.

lol those stupid dryers! Mine did that all the time too! Of course, now that I need smaller clothes, it stopped shrinking them
