Newbie

Im from the west midlands in the UK. I have been trying to lose weight now for about a year.

I have been watching what i eat seriously over the last few months (from septembet) and have been doing exercise - for example bike riding and running.

However all Ive lost is a half a stone. My ideal target would be to loose two or three stone by the summer.

WELCOME!! :)

Could you tell me what "1/2 a stone" equals to in US weight? :o Maybe you need to drink more water? or increase your exercise? I know when I haven't lost any weight in awhile, I need to increase my exercise program....longer and sometimes, something different.

I wish you luck.

I have just starting increasing my water intake. A stone is equal to 14 lbs. I think the problem is I am just eating one meal a day. Without many snacks or variations at all.

Oh my! You really need to eat 3 meals day!!! That's how you get your energy to do your exercises. You don't have to eat alot of food at each meal, but please be careful. You can eventually harm your body later down the road. :(

Thank you for telling me about the stone...I wrote it down just in case I came across another message with the same "lingo."

Please, PLEASE eat something. ;) I care about people and have seen one person in my family, (my mom) with an eating disorder almost die from eating 1 meal a day.eventually, she would only drink water & juice & soda's.
