GREAT! What plan are you guys doing? Im still looking for a plan (actually thats how i found this) so maybe we can come up with one together or i can join you on yours!
|
Right now I'm just starting off with a goal of doing some kind of activity 30 minutes a day, 6 times a week- doesn't matter if it's jogging, walking, etc. I just need to build consistency with working out.
As far as calories, I'm allowing myself a max of 1500 daily. I'm not sure if that's a good amount or not to lose, but I figure it's a good start. I'm also allowing myself one meal a week where I can eat what I want and not worry about the calories. |
hey guys! it's so nice to see people with the same goals as myself...I started an account here a few months ago and started "detox" and then kind of just fell off the horse...I am currently at 166 pounds and want to lose about 40 lbs...let's all put a plan together ? and see how it goes? any suggestions?

Hey everyone! I'm also 20 years old. I have more than 40 or so pounds to lose, and I'm coming from a very low physical fitness level. Currently, I'm around 195 pounds, and 5'9" on a good day. Would love some type of support or team type system... Buddy... I'm located in Washinton, D.C.... Let me know! No real work out plan, or diet... Just trying to committ myself to SOME physical activity daily

Hi everyone, I just joined today! I am 21 years old, and I am looking for encouragement to lose this weight. I want to lose about 25/30 pounds. My mom and I are going to try doing weight watchers (we've had success in the past) but we are going to do it alone and not go to the meetings. I really need to be motivated to lose this weight because I am going to be moving to Orlando, Florida in May and I want to be able to wear those cute summery clothes all year round! :) I will be here for you all if you need words of encouragement, and I hope I will get some encouragement as well!!! Good luck everyone! :)
|
I've been really sick for some reason, so I've been delayed. But tomorrow I'm going to start up again and my first goal for tomorrow is to get up at 7am with Denise Austin! Good luck everyone!!!

Hey guys, I am 20 also, and I am on the medical weight loss diet. I am planning on losing 62 lbs, my problem is getting the energy to exercise. How do you all get the motivation and do you guys have a lot of energy?? I hope we can all get some help from eachother, just support and a lending ear would be nice. Good luck to all of you!:smug:

Hi everyone
I just joined today and today is the first day of me watching what i eat. I haven't started exercising yet. I plan on starting tomorrow. I wish all of u the best of luck!!!!1 |
Yeah, my motivation comes and goes... Its horrible! Is anyone interested in keeping up a regular correspondence. I have up to 60 pounds to lose... Let me know through I guess private messages or something!
Also, still sick, so didn't really do anything today, blah... Its the 3rd day in a row almost! |
Medical weight loss is a clinic. They put you on a plan where you have different kinds of nutrients that are meal replacements. The nutrients are supposed to help you feel full, and digest/breakdown as soon as you drink/eat them. Don't get me wrong still eat regular food too, just little portions and 1 or 2 meals a day. A typical dinner is 1 protein (which is a 3.5 oz portion) 2 vegetables (1 cup serving per vegtable) 1 fruit (small in size, or 1 cup) and 2 starch. It's not too bad, but I miss chocolate soo much! Does any one have tips on how to relieve late night muchie monsters? I try to just drink a big glass of water when I feel hungry, but I'm tired of waking up 300 times a night to pee lol. How long was it before any of you noticed results on your diets with moderate exercise?? God I wish I could be like this guy:carrot: lol! I've only been on this diet 5 days..... I go weigh in tomorrow wish me luck! :^:
|
Good luck Toni :). When I get my munchies, (like right now) I get online and sit here or talk with people to keep my mind off of it!!! Drink plenty of water and maybe chew gum... it may help!
|

Hey guys just reporting in! I didnt get my workout session today. I've had a migraine and jogging would just make it worst. I plan to get back on track tomorrow. Today's positive: I stuck to my meal plan! Also, have I mentioned how good the South Beach diet meal replacement bars are? Yummy! They're perfect during the times I feel like having something sweet, yet they have just a couple of grams of sugar and lots of protein.
Toni, maybe you could get some of those bars, cut'em in half and when you get the urge to munch just grab one half of the bar and that can be your treat! Make sure you get a cheat day also, that way you dont feel deprived. Does that help any? ChicaLoca, me and you are on the same boat! almost! I weigh 159 lbs and looking forward to weighing 135 lbs by April Fools! All due to "baby" weight. I'd be happy if my bloated belly and double chin would just go away. Hope I make it. Good luck to you! Stay motivated and keep in touch. Motivation Tip: Myself and a couple of co-workers began a Support Group, we have a binder and we're passing it around and putting in nutritious recipes, exercise tips, goals, motivational stories from magazines, etc. we're basically putting different kinds of info to keep us motivated. :gossip: |
Also, for munchies, I've been drinking water for them. But, yeah I've been going to the bathroom like crazy, but I heard that was a good thing!! I heard sucking on frozen things, like popcicles, and ice cubes. Or eating apples and such

so glad to have found you!!
Hello all!
I am so glad that I saw this thread. I have been a lurker for a while and have finally gotten fed up with my weight. I am trying to start a new diet and exercise regimen but have no clue where to begin. Any ideas would be appreciated. I am 24 years old and have been married for 1 year. I live in St. Louis, MO and I am a graduate student. I would love to have the support of this group and would be grateful to have a support buddy! I really need the accountability to stay on track. I am currently about 157lbs and have about 30 to lose to fit my 5'2'' frame. I saw that Crazycrystal and bskaar came up with a diet plan. Do you have any ideas? katies22, I see that you live in St. Louis as well. Perhaps we could keep each other motivated! Also, bskaar - which brand of flavored water did you find? Looking forward to talking soon! Hillary:dizzy: |
Hi Brandy (and others!)
I am looking for a buddy too...I'll be part of this group:) I'm 21 years old and need to lose weight this year. I want to start the right way, with a lot of support, because when I've 'started' before it's always been on my own--which is why I never succeed. Right now I'm gonna cut down on calories, and later on I want to do the NutriSystem plan. I look forward to seeing changes soon! :D |
I've been eating egg white omellets for breakfast for the past couple of days. I also have 2 slices of whole grain bread. This meal keeps me full with little fat and lots of protein. The calorie intake is also very low yet very filling. i add different kinds of veggies to my omellet and ketchup on the side.
3/4cup of egg whites = 4 large eggs and only 90 calories! The whole grain bread is 45 cal per slice. That equals 180 calories! 2 tbsp of ketchup = 30 calories.......TOTAL: 210 CALORIES :) |
I need some motivation. My diet is struggling! I don't think I've done anything diet worthy all week!! Ok, tomorrow is another day... Wish me luck! And good luck guys, sounds like you're all doing great work!

24 with 35 to lose!
Hey you guys,
Really want to jump on the band wagon with everyone. I weigh about 171 and really want to finally get down to my 135... (or 140 or 150 I'll be happy with those too : ) It's sad cause I've been wanting to lose weight for years... I found a journal of when I was 10 weighing 140 pounds and wanting to just weigh 120... So not sure how this works except that we keep eachother on track... I quit smoking 9 months ago through a forum and what we did then was come up with a name (April Ashkickers)... as silly as it sounds all we had to do was post a thread saying "rallying all April Ashkickers" or somethign and everyone was there... |
Aww, thats a cute idea, the April Ashkickers! That's really funny. And congrats on quitting the smoking! I have similar goals as you. I'm in my twenties too and I've been wanting to lose for years! Haha its funny I'm constantly looking at old journals, where I've wanted to lose weight... Thats so funny! Well good luck! Today wasn't a great day for me! Wasn't as productive as I wanted to be... Blah, theres always tomorrow! Good luck everyone!
|
hey brandy
we are all with you on your diet, but don't ovr do it take it a day at a time. one tip that i hear all around this place is don't deprive yourself, but keep eatting healty. you can do it. flab-u-less |
Hi I am also a new mom of a 6 mo old and an 8 yr and 2 yrs!! To start off I am getting 40 min a day of cardio and really watching my diet. I have put Protien first and carbs second really slimmed down those mac and cheese portions to about a tablespoon!!! I also had a revelation about HOW I was eating. I used to NEVER eat breakfast never was hungry in the a.m. I used to always eat around noon or one in the p.m. Now hungry or not I fuel this machine in the first 30 min I am up. Now that i have started to think of my body as a machine and food as fuel I have had alot easier time eating better. I have recently also began to detox on the ever so evil PEPSI!!! and went from 7-8 a day to one or less. That is totally hard!! this is my stab in the dark hope it helps someone?
|
:welcome2:i'm 21 yrs old with no kids and i need to lose about 75 pounds. i've tried to many diets in the past 3 years. i've gone up and down in my weight so much that i finally just decided to go about this the old fashioned healthy way with diet and excerise. i would love to buddy up with someone on the same path!!
