Default Newbies

Hello to all. I am a newbie and my daughter in law yankee2cowgirl are going to be support buddies for each other. This should be great. I am at 238 which is the heaviest I have been in a long time. I need to be down to 145 so have 93 pounds to lose. Looking forward to getting started.

I am a newbie on this site - I don't usually do chats and so forth, but I really need to go where I can get support.

Taking one day at a time - I would like to lose about 60 pounds over the next 5 or so months if that is a resonable time span - not sure - any suggestions?

I am going to check into Denise Austin's new diet plan, that sounds pretty good to me.

I believe I will get back onto my stationary bike - it is boring - but it is a start. I have some firm tapes, and also some pilates, does anyone have a suggestion for me? I feel lost on where to begin - I just know I need a change, a life change.

Dee

Welcome to 3FC willysgirljan and Dee

Dee: As long as its not a fad diet I think you'll be okay, just make sure you choose a diet that you can stick to, I personally follow weight watchers. Try to cut down on junk foods, drink plenty of water, 6 cups minimum, plenty of fruits, veggies, fiber and white meats. I personally workout on the treadmill, elliptical and tapes. I'm sure you'll do great!, if you need any help or just want to talk you can PM me

Can't do a fad diet, that would not be life changing for me...

Thanks for the advice - I need to add more activity to my days, and more healthier foods...Fish will be in my new path. I love salmon, shrimp, I guess that won't be to hard to adjust to, More vegs, and fruit...it's the sugar I crave - pies, cakes, cookies, you know that BAD stuff. Arrggh!

Just wanted to say hello as well. I'm new to this site and still reading and checking things out. I'm following Jorge Cruise's way of eating and up until a couple of weeks ago when I went off track, it was working very well for me. So I got back on program yesterday eating and exercise wise and found this site when I was looking at something else. Looks like a great place for support and motivation.
